Campaign skip

I agree that a campaign skip is a good idea. Alternatively, it would be great if the campaign was structured more like the endgame, or somehow tied into the endgame atlas. No one wants to play through a game, just to play a completely different game.

Problem is not with skipping but with offering an alternative. You can't start mapping with lvl 1 char. And they 100% won't let you to create lvl 60+ chars.


It's still better to twink-gear a level 1 character and jump straight into farming campaign areas without progressing through the campaign. assuming skipping the campaign should also unlock all waypoints.

you can just farm freely without worrying about navigating the long maze-like maps in Act 2, collecting soul cores or constantly backtracking in Act 3 and so on.

Because the benefit it grants to veteran players would be substantially more than it is to new players.

I can empathize though, went from making 3 characters each league to just 1 because spending an afternoon speeding through the campaign isn't fun for me. But still not in favour of a skip option, would prefer a campaign/early leveling experience thats worth repeating(not because of the story)


This is not true at all. A veteran player is already going to be trading more and more likely to get twink gear. A new player is NOT going to be doing that the vast majority of the time.

On top of that, having to replay the exact same campaign over and over to try new characters is only going to push new players away. I dread having to do it again and I have not even logged in since January. It is the single biggest reason I don't make more characters and play more once I get deep into maps. I want to try new classes/builds but I am also not going to be running the campaign over and over again while calling it fun.

Allowing an alternate leveling path for alt's is the smartest thing they could do. Level scaling maps, "cow level", etc. This stuff would greatly improve the making of new characters. Level scaling content is already in the game.

ANY task in this game, the veteran is going to have an unfair advantage. So saying ANYTHING about "unfair to new players" is a very dumb comment to make IMO. The proposed alternate leveling path would still require a full campaign completion once per league so trade is not even effected in anyway.

Like that time when he said that we should have 1.0 in 6-12 months after Early Access launch but here we are. The game still have an identity crisis. Still unfinished. Total silence, just milking players with pumping MTX and overhyped leagues while many issues still have not been addressed since 0.1

campaign areas are level scaling content afaik.

you can look at A2 Keth, Mawdun mine, Titan Valley or A4 isles for example. no matter where you start first, these areas will scale up to your level. luckily there were minimum/maximum limit to its level range.

outside campaign is temple. but that too has limit to maximum level it can go.
