Campaign skip

Why not add a campaign skip, even if it costs something? I don't want to waste hours on the campaign just to try new characters and builds in endgame

+1.

Not at all interested in doing it multiple times per league, multiple times per year.

When I find myself done with a league it's mostly because of this, especially with how annoying it is to ascend.
Not happening. Their reasoning is that it's unfair to new players.

it will.
the campaign is already painfully long, making alts is a pain in the ass for anyone with a life outside of POE. retention will tank when we are years deep and people decide they dont want to do the entire fucking thing on 2, 3, 4 characters multiple times per year.

did someone from GGG actually say this? i would love a link to read or watch.
i dont see whats unfair about it if they have the same access we all do.

Like the retention dropped in PoE1 after many years without that being an option and with having a longer campaign?

Hey, why just ff through campaign? Sure, there could be a toggle to start you off at lvl 60 with decent gear for that level so you can jump right into maps, but why stop there? Why not just start every character out at level 100 with full currency tab stacks of 5k of every currency and let them select the item bases and mods they want and craft their own gear without having to roll anything?

If you think playing the game is boring then perhaps you should pick a different game.

Lets get rid of all of the grinding in this grinding game.

how is it unfair to new players? new players are the ones who want to try new builds and new classes. having to do the campaign so many times will just make them quit. running campaign after 2-3 times becomes incredibly tedious and boring. and a new player takes like 12 hours per campaign. do you think new players want to spend 12 hours in campaign every time they want to try a different class/build?

Because the benefit it grants to veteran players would be substantially more than it is to new players.

I can empathize though, went from making 3 characters each league to just 1 because spending an afternoon speeding through the campaign isn't fun for me. But still not in favour of a skip option, would prefer a campaign/early leveling experience thats worth repeating(not because of the story)
"Beidat honored the pact, though Beardat wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
Even if they did (they wont) add a campaign skip after you completed it once a league. You would still have this forum full of complainers not even 24 hours after league launch that they want to only do the campaign 1 time ever.

That is how ever function ever works. People are so obsessed with making everything faster and more efficient nowadays.

People will never stop asking for these things all in the name of "making it better"

Even if you could log in day 1 with a lvl 100 with bis gear people would still complain about progression time.
