What matters is that it’s already obvious that it's easy for players to reach 100 with shoelace gear, if they choose to push 100 asap.

The raw numbers on their own don’t really tell us much about player motivation, cause someone might want to push for 100 asap on league start, while someone else is more focused on other stuff and never bothers to focus on optimized Shoelace friendly speed leveling, and instead dies left and right pushing content for currency on their Shoelace gear with the mere goal to make profit and big bank asap, not reaching 100 asap or at all.

From what we can tell, if people in SSF HC can reach level 100 with random shoelace gear within just mere days, then sc Andy with access to trade and slightly better than shoelace gear can do the same as well, as we already see with sc players having no issues either to push for 100 fast.

At that point, 100 really is not something crazy anymore or a multi week project these days, back in 2014 yes, but not nowadays.

But it doesn't work like that. A lot of people just do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.
Lvl 100 is not necessarily difficult but solo it requires dicipline and self-restraint and a lot of players are simply not able or not willing to do it that way, so for them it's leech or lvl 96 forever.

This league was the first time I pushed to 100 in SSF. Do you know what I did different than before? I was reading map mods, simple as that.

Check the ladders or poe.ninja. In SC trade it's ~34k characters on poe.ninja, so in total probably closer to 50k or even more.

In SC SSF, as of right now, it's 3230.

That said if one wants to reach it one can reach it. I saw a streamer that reach lvl 100 in Act 3 in Black Guard Barracks. But it was a "funny thing".

I think there should be some mechanics after lvl100.

That's the point, it not hard but it's totally possible for everyone who wants to.
