What is your purpose after reaching level 100?

I love poe, I've played thousands of hours but this time I feel really purposeless after reaching level 100 and completing ubers. What is your motive after level 100?

Ive reachd it for very first time few leagues ago and noticed that at that moment i lost purpuose to play that char. So i started new one and tested some other builds.

So i guess there is none.

But probably one can want to reach some bosses, try some new content but still id rather do that on still leveling char.

My motives are:

- Discovering new strats since a lot of stuff doesn't have a guide for it nor is it public knowledge.
- Completing 40/40.
- Testing stuff for the next league which at this point is mostly crafting related.
- Running non-void Valdos since there's still some stuff to learn in there.

i dont have any level 100 characters. some of my old characters from 2013 have over 1000 hours /played on them, if i get to lvl98 i slow down how much i play that character and avoid too much high xp stuffs, at lvl99 i only occasionally play that character.

i never want to get to lvl100 because i know that i would lose motivation to ever play that character again, and i like going back and updating old builds, playing some maps with them.


i never push xp content, if content is really high xp and you run it primarily to get that xp i will never play it. im never looking to level faster when i hit endgame im just looking to enjoy playing and get loot, levels happen naturally as im doing that.

Purpose? I roll an alt or play something else if I'm done with the league. Not really something to think about, as level 100 is easy to come by and takes no more than a couple days now. Years ago grinding for 100 would be a task at times, now it's free and doesn't really mean anything, other than enabling niche builds to complete their setups.

Level 100 is where the fun starts.

figure out exploit craft

exploit flip

I have two motivations.
One is getting the league's MTX.
The other one is achieving something I haven't achieved before. Such as:
- 40/40 during a fun league (38/40 is my record).
- Kill all the ubers.
- Maybe do a full HCSSF run if there's a league in the future that looks really really fun.

I don't care much about lvl100. It's a weight off my shoulders (because I don't see the XP bar gaining so much traction that I start to worry about losing it, because of the sunk cost thing) but I stop caring about leveling around lvl98 most of the time anyway.

I only lvl characters to 100 if it's some experimental build I felt proud of.

min/maxing gear. craft or mirror upgrades, double corrupt uniques, consider more expensive variants of build (voices, etc)

This league one of my favorites has been the new volatile vaals.



but previous leagues, I have really enjoyed temple corrupts.
