The 0.5 season was delayed from April to May and now it's delayed again to May 29.

I'm glad it got delayed. Multiple patches we got something that felt either incomplete or not really impactful. Best example is this patch we got now which we got Druid and a league mechanic while the rest didn't really change

I would rather have 6 months league and get a real patch than 4 months while they spend 2 working on poe1, essentially being 2 months of real work on poe2

Poe2 is way too new and lacks way too much, needs too many things fixed to be getting just a pat on the shoulder every 4 months

It sucks for streamers but yea

When you spend time on old games like poe1 instead of making the new game poe2 better and finish it this is what you get 6 months for every season. Cant understand why games are focusing on old games when they have new ones really do they still make money on the old ones? Its the same sh1t with other games though.

Yeah, no.

There is zero chance I'm spending my summer grinding PoE2 while GGG treats dates like loose fan fiction. Autumn works fine for me. At least then the season matches the mood.

And honestly, promises are what keep a live service playerbase stable. Break those often enough and people don't get "more patient" - they leave. Shocking concept, I know.

You can't keep moving the goalposts and act surprised when the stadium empties.

There was no league delay from April to May; 0.5 was always aligned with a May ~8th release. Try to understand that 0.4 was released early as not to clash with the New Year break, else it probably would have released on January 3rd.

So technically speaking, 0.5 still aligns with the 4-month cycle, albeit 3 weeks beyond what we would have liked.

Personally, I'm happy to wait a piddling 3 weeks if it results in a better, meatier league. I'd always take a juicy steak over an anemic, half-baked burger.

This means I can finish coursework and then just take some days off work for the league launch. Fine by me.
