Darkness band-aid - desperate call to make it to 0.5

Oi, me again.
I reflected on my previous idea and how Darkness works and I think I figured out why it is so drawback-packed and why its scaling is limited by design. Nevertheless, to play with full Darkness potential, you still need: - 3 Asc Notables investment (6 points guys); - External source of Chaos Resi to fulfill the scaling requirement (which is also killing the option of using CI); - Sacrifice Spirit entirely. BEHOLD! Here is my 200 IQ band-aid idea to fix Darkness just before 0.5! Merge two Notables: [Deepening Shadows] with [Chayula's Gift] into one. Keep it in the Darkness branch. Darkness is actualy extremely strong.
I think they could allow it to stack up to 3.5k/4k max assuming you have invest the 6 ascendancy points for it and keep the spirit penalty as it is. If they want to keep it at around 2kish than change the penalty to like, "half spirit" or "35% less EV/ES" similar to other ascendancy penalties. SSF-HCSSF player

Thematically, I love Darkness. As a skill it is pretty strong. I like your idea. I would also like it to be changed so that it was darkness scales with un-capped chaos resistance. I think this could help it get to the level it needs as a complete replacement for energy shield.

Dont see why they couldnt rework it.
Doubt giving Chayula gift free to everyone is balanced. The spirit lost is fair seeing how strong is darkness. SSF-HCSSF player

" It's not really strong, the Spirit disable is pretty massive tbh. Also, what do you mean by "giving Chayula gift free"? I am proposing to merge it into 2nd Darkness Notable, so it literally limits its use to only Darkness branch. It would be rather small buff for Darkness specifically, while not making it broken imo. " Litteraly the only defense system that block every single type of damage in the game even bleeding, desacrated ground, ignite,... My ES never even start depleting on lvl 82 maps with 6 mods. To the point i get surprise when that happen every 10 maps or so. It's very strong. Way better than any spirit gem can give you. SSF-HCSSF player

" ES doesnt block all the damage i said. And darkness refill no matter if you still take damage or not. So it perpetualy replenish and your ES stay untouched. You make a choice in every ascension. Defense or damage. It's always one or the other. I find it fair. SSF-HCSSF player
