Third Party Software
" Or maybe bans associated with third-party application-driven excessive API usage are targeted towards those who make the largest number of requests within a given period of time? It is possible for two people using the same tool to utilise it in remarkably different ways; one person could price-check five items in two minutes, the other, more than a hundred. First we had a grand conspiracy to sell additional stash tabs to people, now we have a lottery. Both are just random assumptions with no evidence whatsoever behind them. I can appreciate your frustration, but you do seem quick to assume bad faith on GGG's part. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

" I believe everything I’m saying is valid. It’s obvious that you haven’t used this program, because it’s not possible to check the prices of 100 items within one minute. The game already applies a restriction of around 120 seconds and temporarily blocks access to the trade site. If this is indeed against the rules, then instead of issuing permanent bans, a warning could be given. After all, I’ve spent 10 days playing and investing effort into this account. Do they even take that into consideration when making these decisions? Let me repeat: if 5,000 players go through this situation and return, and each spends around $50, then Grinding Gear Games would make $250,000 without producing anything new. If there are 4 leagues per year, that becomes $1 million. From this perspective, it looks like a “perfect” business model. I just want you to stop and think about it. I can create a new account and continue playing, but a permanent solution to this situation is necessary. |

" That is not free; either financially, or computationally. Even receiving a request and looking up current rate-limits is still fundamentally work. " Their business model is that they release new series of supporter packs alongside each challenge league, and a new set of core supporter packs usually once a year. I don't consider it a "perfect" business model to arbitrarily permaban account owners who habitually purchase the latest 480 USD + shipping supporter pack in addition to the occasional challenge league supporter pack because, hey - maybe if we do, some of them will spend $50 on stash tabs. Their business model revolves around attracting whales. Hunting those whales to extinction doesn't increase revenue; it results in bankruptcy. If people believe they can be permanently banned at any time and for no reason, nobody will 'invest' money into their PoE account. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

" Yes, producing and selling products for wealthy players is the business model they are supposed to follow. What I’m describing is something completely different, and you need to understand that. They will keep doing what you’re saying anyway. But with the method I’m talking about, the company is generating unfair profit. How many times am I supposed to be forced to buy the same kind of product? What you’re describing is spending for enjoyment or as a hobby. What I’m talking about is being forced to purchase something. If that’s the case, then why are stash tabs sold for money and effectively made mandatory? Instead of giving only four and pushing players to buy more, the things that are truly necessary should be provided. That’s the conclusion that comes from what you’re saying. And finally, how many times am I supposed to create a new account and repurchase stash tabs? How much money does GGG actually need from me? |

" Uninstall the game. Walk away. I am not going to comment on the feasibility of playing Path of Exile for an extended period of time without spending money on stash tabs. That isn't something I would want to do - but some might choose to argue it's technically possible. Ultimately, I don't think it matters. If you believe a company has permanently banned your account illegitimately to coerce you into giving that company more money, then the only sensible and justifiable response is to never give that company a cent ever again - indeed, never to interact with them in any way ever again. I cannot understand someone thinking a company effectively stole their money and yet being willing to buy more things from that company. If you truly believe someone is stealing from you, you should want to punish them - not reward them. If your instinct is to continue to play the game and spend money on it - then at least for me personally, that raises questions about how sincerely you believe what you claim. In that situation I would leave and never look back. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

" No one like you can tell me what to do. I have been playing this game since 2016, and there are so many issues like this. Instead of punishing the game, I want to fix it and am working toward that. This game is a part of my life, and I cannot just remove it from my life. You tell me to “delete it and walk away,” but what should I put in its place? It’s better to fix the things we love rather than punish them and try to make them fairer, so that awareness can be raised. People like you may not support this issue, and your method could apply to another merchant or situation—I don’t care—but telling someone to delete the game and walk away shows that you are being harsh. Please do not respond this way in the future, because I do not want to be rude. I am trying to raise awareness of the mistakes in the game so that at least some things get fixed. Two years ago, my brother’s account was banned for the same reason: he used a mouse macro because his right side is paralyzed due to a disability. He loves the game, so I tried to find a solution. I emailed support and told them that I used a macro, and if you think I lied, I have all of my brother’s medical reports, surgery videos, and photos as evidence. They said there was nothing they could do for this situation and that they were very sorry, but I took this on so he could enjoy the game. I also clearly wrote this in my appeal when the account was banned and fought for it. At that time, there was no mechanic to automatically use a full charge, which was added later. I was happy to see it implemented—it is a huge help for players. Are disabled individuals not allowed to play this game? Can’t a solution be found? I hope that what I am asking for will resolve every problem. |

Hello OP, was banned too yesterday, 7 lvl 100 chars, 300+$ , in this league 2 mirror char, all just gone in one second with ban for Third party software, no maphacks no macroses no smoothers just played game as always, all just gone in nowhere.
i writed appeal, but there is problem, even if i ubanned this can be in two weeks or month so in this case league can be dead? i want play now, not in week or two. Also, they can ban permanently with no reason and they don't care what you spend or played years, with no first warning, so if this happen i just leave game forever, and they lost supporter, no i don't want to reg new account and spend hundreds to just play game, to be banned in year or two. so OP we just need to wait our appeals do be solved. |
