Warrior Skill Speed option

Never done dual wield
1H is just faster yea. Lower damage though As I said though 2h is just over damage in this game. Its fun to insta delete stuff but you dont HAVE to if you dont want to. The slam skills arent really well designed for a bunch of fast speed. EQ you have to wait, and are limited to how many you can place, same for ES. I guess the auto attack could maybe be it but I prefer using mace strike as a support/clear rather than a main skill. It doesnt get a great multiplier as a main skill for damage versus a boss. " Do you use a shield in the other hand? I'd like to try a 1 hand build with a shield, I tried a fissure build before, but I really like leaping on everything with temper weapon. An ignite build with Ancestral cry could be pretty fun with a 1 hand. Totem builds look really cool too. A lot of fun builds for warrior. |

If youre going to use a 1h yea just go with a shield.
You lose a bit of MS but...so what lol. A bunch of defense mods and res pressure, for a small movement speed penalty is an easy choice. Ive played around with trying fire in the warrior part of the tree. But you really want to go warbringer for something like that or you lose out on armour break. Which really is a game changer without on warrior. Not just in terms of offense but defense as well because of scavenged. Ancestral converts 100% on your phys damage to fire which is annoying. And you have to build fire and flammability for it to really get consistent ignites so you can mace strike clear with ancestral cry. Whats really annoying about ancestral cry is that if you weapon swap it just ends the effect and you have to build glory all over again. The near requirement of warbringer and the swap losing the buff keeps me from even really bothering with fire and warrior. Mash the clean Last edited by Mashgesture#2912 on Mar 2, 2026, 9:27:38 PM

" ah interesting, another thing that sort of sucks going elemental with Warrior is I'd much rather shred all of their armour, It might be more effective than the small amounts of fire penetration on the Passive tree. There are some interesting Ascension points for Smith that would also be good for a fire warrior though. I wouldn't get the Smiths Masterworks body armour in that case. One thing that sucks also, "Heat of the Forge" cast fire spells on hit. There are not a lot of fire spells that are compatible with that point. I think some might have been overpowered and were removed. They might as well turn that into a unique ascension spell instead of a slotted gem. For a Fire Warrior though with Smith, could easily fill 8 ascension points for that type of build. Who knows if there might be a cool two handed unique fire sword in the future :O might just stay 2 handed and do a warrior on hit fire swordsman. I'm really stoked for Duelist if they add that Last edited by TwitchGLHFsport#2155 on Mar 2, 2026, 11:31:12 PM

" I've found ancestral cry is indeed awkward to build around because of the fire conversion. The only build I've theory crafted for it where it made sense was an Avatar of Flame dual-wielding warrior. As for just blending fire into a normal warrior setup, it's very doable. I've got a 88 warrior on the go right now in hcssf that's looking promising and feels great to play. Still working on getting him completed but you can take a look here: https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/vaalhcssf/character/karsey-2995/SlamjinderManLeapdeep The last 12 points (I usually get to 98 and get bored, so 10 I guess lol) of the build are basically all DPS. Helps that I've got a fat 2-hander in the 2nd weapon set. Boneshatter/Leapslam are on the 1h+shield setup and along with mace strike/raise shield are the bread and butter. You poke, leap and block to proc stun priming for boneshatter opportunities. I keep sunder and rolling slam on use with the 2-hander and use it when the opportunities for slamerific mass-destruction arise. Forge Hammer (also bound to 2h) will snipe out tanky rares on it's own sometimes or at least stun them. Great to throw onto essence monsters, erupting abyss, strong box spawns. Lay down a fat sunder into the mayhem - it's very satisfying. It will clear the screen + then some. You can clean up with a rolling slam or leap in and do whatever. Use infernal cry as much as you can. 6th mace strike gem will be uruks smelting at lvl 90. Very versatile and tanky. I've got +3 boss difficulty on right now and empowered bosses on t15s goes like this: break armour with mace strike, leap slam, break armour again, by now they're primed for stun (you can manually block here too to build it up and interupt their attacks), throw forge hammer (syzgy makes it stun + intimidate), infernal cry, rolling slam then (if necessary) sunder. If they're still alive, repeat. Great fun, would recommend it. Very hcssf friendly build. To get past the skill speed issue, use hit & run on sunder and rolling slam. Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either. Last edited by karsey#2995 on Mar 3, 2026, 9:52:27 AM

Hit and run seems like it might be good, i'll give that a try. Its hard not to depend on the slam skills for a bulk of the damage. That ascendency looks good for a slam build. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/resources/smith-of-kitava-ascendancy-overview check out Coal Stoker and heat of the forge. Do you know if It's possible to max all elemental resistances by only stacking fire resistance with coal stoker? I want to try the Molten Blast, Ancestral cry combo. With extra fissures on a fissure build. Just to try it out, it might be bad idk. Last edited by TwitchGLHFsport#2155 on Mar 3, 2026, 12:43:16 PM

here I posted my current build on POE ninja if you want to see for my character "misterpoopypant". All of my armour has % of armour applying to elemental damage. I still need to get my last 2 ascendency points to put on Smith's masterwork. I just leap on everything and it dies. If you look at my life flask, I can sip flask in mid air every time just to top off life immediately as insurance. My life leach heals me when I land as well. But it feels super tanky. I don't use my secondary, but I have a unique shield there strictly for style points. Last edited by TwitchGLHFsport#2155 on Mar 3, 2026, 4:08:58 PM
