New Chase Belt FYI

So I was unaware that this belt rolls different shrine combinations. It's not just the Diamond and Resistance that was shown in content reveal video.

Specifically it rolls one offensive and one defensive shrine.

The wiki doesn't specify which shrines are defensive/offensive; it will not be able to roll Divine Shrine... surely.

Just thought this was worth sharing here as it was something I didn't realize until I randomly stumbled into it 50 comments deep in a Reddit thread.

EDIT: It was confirmed in Zizaran interview with Octavian + Andrew that Divine Orbs will NOT reroll the shrine types on the item.

If that thing can roll divine shrine, it would be the most idiotic item ever introduced.

This belt is clearly better than Mageblood - in a few cases. Mageblood is still king in most cases, I would think.

While it's a really strong item, when you think about it for more than a few seconds, a lot of builds don't even need something like the Diamond Shrine effect. If you are going crit, you will pick up nodes that give crit multi and crit chance anyway. Outside of a few niche cases, i.e. Marylene's Fallacy, the belt slot is simply far too valuable, not to mention the restriction of no flasks. This will be one of those overhyped uniques that virtually everybody focuses on until they settle down for a moment and realize what they are trading it for. Tons of life, resistances, ES, etc. Not to mention the lack of a corrupted Abyss jewel, and other useful/strong belt affixes.

Edit: Also, I don't think Divine Shrine is even classified as a defensive Shrine. Either they disabled it for this belt, or it's one of those that technically don't boost your stats, hence why it's neither offensive or defensive.

You're comparing it to a Stygian Belt. If you compare MB to a Stygian, MB comes out on top in 99/100 situations.

But yes, if your build doesn't really scale with crit (Diamond Shrine) or speed (Acceleration shrine), this belt isn't for you. But you mention resistances and stuff; if you think about how much investment you don't need to do if you "always crit", you have PLENTY of points to make up for what you lose on a Stygian. The Resistance shrine is just... Self-explanatory OP. 50% all res (inclusing chaos) and 10% max res (including chaos)? 87%/17% if The Gull scales it.

The most important/impactful things to lose by running this belt is the immunities from MB flasks; curse, especially.

This belt, especially if the buffs are scalable through The Gull, is going to be BiS for A LOT of builds. But, of course; not all.

So are we all rolling The Unseen Hand's prerequisite node Toad's Price in 3.28?
