10K es / 2k life / 50%evasion / 40%deflection / 25%armor

Game is designed to keep you chasing defenses and never actually feel strong. After like 1700 hours I have finally learned my lesson and I am getting off the hamster wheel. GGG (and you guys) can have this. Hard pass for me.

I leveled FOUR characters to 97 this league because ppl keep telling me "oh no, you need this" or "oh no you cant stack THAT" and of course "SkIlL iSsUE" kids are abundant.

The game is designed to keep you chasing the carrot that is "unkillable" and you never actually get there. What you DO get is a never-ending cycle of "BS mechanics that bleed thru your "mirror tier" defenses faster than you can even react... and I'm not talking about boss mechanics... I am talking about OVERCAPPED resistances to 90+ with 70% Evasion, 50% Deflection AND a 10k Sorcery Ward shield and "guess what, you're dead, back to hideout for you. Try again!!"

I am over it completely and I do not think I will be coming back next season. At this point the devs are taking advantage of my trust, honestly. Any other game that exists would be a better use of my time and energy.

my man! (woman?)
thank you for elaborating

I couldnt write my feeling to describe likewise any better..

EXACTLY~!

Sprinting into a group of monsters
falling on yor ass like an idiot unable to do ANYTHING for 4 seconds but slam Health potion hoping to survive or have enough charges until u finally get up

GREAT GAME DESIGN!

seems like a complete abuse towards players

There's so many layers to the defensive onion that usually when someone has an exorbitant value/rating within one or two aspects, it's almost certain they've only been able to achieve it by ignoring others.

There are also some slams that exist to be very nearly certain to kill you no matter what - but if you die to those, that is a textbook skill issue.

We need some more information about your character if you want a decent shot at defending yourself or to receive help, otherwise you're just going to be put in the bucket with all the other noobs who forget about stuns, ailments, recovery, crits, chaos dmg, ground effects, debuffs, maps mods, and everything else that exists outside of flat ES/Life/Ar/Ev/ES values.
Spoken like a true sweatlord with 7000 PoE1 hours and another 3000 POE2 hours.

I'm not here asking for help to "fix my build" because that is the trap the devs designed for me to fall into in order for the game to feel "fun".

I say nay, sir. I shall not.

ive been playing Diablo 2 for 26years now

multiple lvl99 hardcore thoughout yeears
still to this day in PvP community

id lik to think i know the genre better then born yesterday

its not like im just picking up this game clueless on what to do

on that note i dont know if it says anywhere here

ijust broke 4000hours since release on PoE2,

so thats all the info u really have to know to build a general player profile of mine ,
without neckbearding into PoE1 nancy garbage like GGG does.

brining new game - feeling like same dumb ass PoE1 nonsence for lack of FRESH solutions is rather weak

Right? Like i DIDN'T just spend 3 weeks of my life frantically researching every build, guide or YT video out there trying to improve.

Or as if somehow spending every waking minute that I am NOT providing for my family or pets and living my life researching said layers of defenses and mechanics only to get melted in under 0.2 seconds halfway thru destroying an entire giga juiced abyss map easily.

As if THEIR intellect is so great that THEY can understand something SO COMPLEX. Them and their big brain.
i feel exact same way,

as if the game REQUIRES ME to follow some YT'er ranting in my ear on how to play game, as if they better & im just a dumbass

because im unable to understand myself feeling like a noob,
OKAY
try'ed and tested that whats been YT preeched - still no change

like GTFO here GGG for real.

i dont know what audience ur looking for at this point 4 seasons in

poE1 nancys rather play PoE1 regardless,

people who came into poE2 with belief its NOT gonna be a PoE1 are like myself,
.....getting more and more discouraged the closer towards release we get.

sad
