Please inform in advance if you put gauntlet mods in events
" GGG's words (shared again in this thread), that you still have not bothered reading: "areas altered by map modifiers, and face enraged bosses that push your builds and your skill to the limit." I'll also state again that this was at the TOP of the Phrecia announcement the very first day that any of us found out about this event. And then later in the same announcement, there were two additional paragraphs about this. You come into this thread asking for direct quotes from GGG.....well these were already shared in this thread before you came in and decided, once again, to not read. "Gauntlet boss mechanics" is NOT more clear than what was stated....not everyone played or knows anything about the Gauntlet, nor are these mods the same as the gauntlet. What IS crystal clear is GGG describing exactly what the event has: 1) Enrage unique bosses 2) extra mods in each area 3) "Push your builds and skill to the limit" They have very good reason for not going into specifics on every boss and the extra mechanics involved: the surprise is part and central to the event itself. And yet, even that was still stated outright to warn you ahead of time. Again....in the first post announcing the event. "Campaign bosses, as well as some Pinnacles have also developed a few new mechanics for you to overcome" You have a good night too! Maybe spend less time commenting that an event is boring, or that things weren't explicitly stated to you...and more time reading the threads you are posting in and about? Where those things were....explicitly stated to you. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Jan 29, 2026, 11:19:22 PM

" They designed a totally crap league. Do the smart thing and leave. |

"A seasoned speedrunner like yourself should have no issues with slightly different mods. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

" That drop off, which happens every patch, and which always has some one engage in hysterical doom mongering when they see it, obviously has nothing to do with Europeans (for whom the event started at 9PM or later) going to bed after playing a few hours. /s The continued decline as I type also has nothing to do with US players going to bed in increasing numbers. 🙄 Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |

Enrage is a mechanic in POE. it does very specific things.
they say 'enraged bosses' so that people were expecting I was NOT expecting to see gauntlet mods. mods i dislike because they soft-force players to pick 'just better' skills (like SRS) to simply ignore them while leveling. so my meme Behemoth Sweeper plan is down the drain because i remember not-fondly my last gauntlet experience with slow melee and have 0 desire to switch to 'good' skill just to ignore the artificial bump (i am not claiming it is undoable, it is just a) poorly announced b) not fun for me. Phrecia 1.0 was the peak POE and adding artificial speed bump to it just sours the experience to the point i will spend my weekend doing something else) |

" This. I'm having a great time in Phrecia, but I only had a few hours since it dropped on a work-night. Looking forward to finishing the campaign and blasting maps once my weekend starts. |

Didn't read, didn’t care, atleast until I realized no else was going to play....new event is pretty dead and poe2 is pretty dead. Did we just kill poe1 and 2 with small fonts?

afaic i don't mind the increase difficulty and i don't play the first phrecia league to compere. But i feel the event should last longer. Like how am i suppose to push my build to the limit in such a short time :D Event will end when i'll start having fun with my char.

Closing on 100 deaths in act 7 ssf (I have 8000+ hrs under my belt). It's really not that enjoyable to be faceplanting act bosses (~10 bosses in one fight) to death by 1000 papercuts. Rage-quit when my over-leveled, decently geared 6-portal defence on black venom dried out.
I game to have fun, enjoy, good vibes... If a game is incapable of providing that, I change game . How were you able to f this up? Did no one do actual play-testing again? ![]() |
