Fault lies squarely on your shoulders, not theirs. Everything was spelled out since the very first announcement of this event. And it was repeated in the subsequent post....AND in the patch update.

What good is informing those unwilling to read? 3x no less.

"In addition to this, we’ve also sprinkled a few extra twists into the mix. To start with, every area will have a random number of map modifiers, with this number scaling up with area level. We’ve removed many modifiers from the pool that would brick builds, such as reflect.

Campaign bosses, as well as some Pinnacles have also developed a few new mechanics for you to overcome. All unique monsters will also enrage on low life. "

Not funny to hit Hillock with a very slow sceptre when he is enrage. Not funny at all.

It is literally 2 lines at the end of 5 paragraphs, just slid in right before the rewards video. Shit like this needs to be titled as Phrecia Gauntlet or something similar. In a grand total of 3 posts, with over 100 lines of text, they literally said *once* that there would be "a few new mechanics" and never outright said they'd be the straight up Gauntlet bosses thrown in.

They're gonna lose 80% of the players for this event over this lack of clarity, I'm calling it right now. 6/8 of the people I know who started today have already packed it in and quit.

In fact, just checked the Steam Charts, and 25% of people who started the league have already quit within 5 hours.

Got to agree. I wasnt aware that they added Gauntlet shit into the Phrecia League.

I too took the day off, wtf didnt you label it as Phrecia Gauntlet League as prev post said.

I have to agree too. I got to level 4 and quit. I didn't sign up for this crap.

Now, maybe it said it somewhere, but if I would've known it's Gauntlet type of sheez, would have never even started. Just my 5 cents, nothing more nothing less.

People are lazy to read, and even more to understand what they read. But, I never thought it would be like this. No biggie tho, plenty of other games to play until 3.28

And getting hit by hillock while maven creeps on it IS funny. Final capstone boss of the game watching you and cheering on as you kill the first boss of the game is perfection.

Don't know what to say man, but 33% of the players gone in less than 6 hours disagree with you I guess.

Events ALWAYS bleed players much faster than leagues: that is irrelevant. Events are NOT for player retention...they only exist as SOMETHING for people to latch onto for a short time between leagues.


This thread was not about whether or not the additional mods were a good idea or not....y'all are confused.


The thread was whether or not you were TOLD ahead of time about them, and you were. Multiple times. Not hidden information. Not withheld.
