HONEST FEEDBACK: SEASON 4

HONEST FEEDBACK: SEASON 4 OR THE ART OF IGNORING THE COMMUNITY

I would like to begin by sincerely thanking you for the fourth season of Path of Exile 2. It is genuinely comforting to see how certain design decisions remain remarkably consistent over time, regardless of feedback, testing, or common sense.

Balance
It is truly impressive that more than half of the league is using a single skill, executed with a single button, and yet it still outperforms any other build that requires multiple combos, complex synergies, and actual mechanical execution. This kind of encouragement of extreme simplicity certainly rewards those who invest in more elaborate playstyles.

Stun / Historical Problem
The character continues to collapse from any minor damage, falling into heavy stuns and inevitable death — a problem present since version 0.1. A true legacy feature of the game.

Expedition
Since its introduction, NPCs and currencies have consistently delivered rewards that are at best symbolic or completely useless, remaining irrelevant in both Trade League and SSF.

Challenge / Loot
By “listening to the community,” the game has become easier and offers virtually no real challenge. The only remaining obstacle seems to be collecting more loot, even when the build already has everything it needs. Yet, it is fascinating to see people still complaining about Trials, which can now be completed in roughly 15 minutes.

Temple
It was extremely “comforting” to see that the Temple, initially labeled by the community as a “bad” or even “stupid” mechanic, only after a week became considered “unfair” due to the absurd amount of rewards. Following the same principle of listening too much to the public, there was nearly an effort to remove it entirely, threatening the fun of an entire league. New mechanics are always “overpowered” at launch — as they always have been, and as they always will be. We are here to explore the limits, and it is not fair for you or any other player to tell us how we should play the game.

Conclusion
Overall, Season 4 delivers exactly what many players expected: minimal challenge, excessive rewards, and long-standing issues left untouched. And yet, we keep playing — because nothing defines this relationship better than stubborn hope mixed with chronic frustration.

+1 my same thoughts

Listen to some pleas while ignoring every other, leaving massive balance issues and gaps between classes, Top right is the only way to survive, armour and evasion sadly cant compete with ES, the nodes are way too overtuned

Notice how melee barely has anything to scale HP?
Notice how regardless of your armour you still die to pretty much everything that was killing you before scaling that armour? Even with armour applies to elemental, really doesnt do much, doesn't affect chaos poison or bleeding, and only affects HITS not DoT, yes less DoT if the hit ignites because armour/element reduces damage first, tried stepping on burning ground or AoE attacks?

There are so many issues and gaps between classes, who even parries????
Legit no time, try a simulacrum and parrying

State of game is atrocious and doesn't matter what you say, you'll always be wrong to the 2% that defends this to the grave, the same 2% playing the same 2-3 builds every season because they know how garbage every other class/skill/mechanic is

The "too easy" part can be solved by adding cruel mode for those that want a challence. Or maybe go SFF. Everything is easy in good gear in any ARPG. The real danger now is that RMTs will become the go to method of progression.

The game needs to be accessable for new players as well as challenging for those nolife ones. We are still miles of for this balance.
This league is so bad and horrible. Economy is a joke thanks to temple. Issues like game performance, crashes, sound gone can never be fixed. There is still absolutely nothing to do endgame. I wonder is this game really can be ready for full launch this year. Even fubgun gone to play torchlight.
+1

the game is TOO easy and too fast.

Actually, streamers play what makes money, and in that sense, the game you mentioned is distributing money to streamers.

However, regarding your statement that the league was terrible, I disagree. It was simply poorly managed by GGG, but it's important to remember that employees were on leave for a few days, and the launch was close to the end-of-year holidays, so the flaws in decision-making are understandable.

Its terrible and bad for me as long as they can't fix the basics (stable gameplay / game performance / constantly lagging. No amount of content can make gaming experience great when the game is constantly lagging. GGG's current excuse is the game is still in Early access. Yeah its a fact that game is still in Early access but its also a fact all these issues exist for 12 months. Lets see what will be their excuse when the game is fully launch with even more players coming onboard as its free to play. If the issues are still not fixed or improved the only fools are us ( the ones who bought their supporter packs)

I dont agree at all with the loot part. Since crafting is still gambling. The loot drops is good now in 0.4

The only issue was the temple that broke the number of rare items and divines.

+1 , if there would be a season reset without the temple mechanic (like you can keep atziri but remove the broken loot increase) the game would be much more balance and much less ennoying.
