And here is the thing. Everyone assumes this fast league, Phrecia, will bring good loot and restore the old power fantasy that most of the core players want. Just look at the replies on the forum. They are overwhelmingly positive. Why? Because there is hope. Hope that we can jump in, kill monsters, get good loot, and actually feel rewarded for our time. That is what made the game fun before, and that is what people are craving again.

And on top of that, the new ascendancies are actually really fun. They add fresh ways to play and experiment with builds, which is something the game has needed for a while. Combined with the hope of better loot and the old power fantasy, it makes Phrecia feel exciting in a way recent leagues have not.
