" Noone plays the league anyway. Every temporal league lasts for like a month, in that time everyone minmaxes and completes challenges then leaves the wast majority of players. 3 week event is fine since there are no challenges, can focus on minmax and idols only. Keep in mind that phrecia ascendancies are OP AF, they are unbalanced. Dont know the patch notes but i remember scion, surfcaster and commander being Utterly OP. |

You are wrong about leagues only lasting a month. Yes, a lot of players minmax their characters and complete challenges quickly, but that does not define the length of a league. For nearly a decade, it was very rare for a league's player count to drop anywhere near 10,000. Late in a healthy league, the population would often still be 20 to 40 thousand, even after months.
The reason it might feel over quickly now is not because of league length but because of the changes GGG has made. Terrible balance and endgame decisions, coupled with poor loot design, have killed the grind that once kept people invested. Grinding is simply not rewarding anymore, so players leave much faster. But historically, leagues were never over after a month. The decline in player count in recent leagues is a symptom of these decisions, not a feature of league duration. |
