Give us back our portals

Well,

after one year, i have to say the single most annoying thing of the many, many bad decisions in POE 2 still is the fact that the amount of portals is tied to the amount of map mods. Since you're now in the middle of redesigning the end-game, this time, please take that into account. And make sure people can run the maps they want to run, which has been another much requested feature since day 1. Any redesign looking over these two community requests may as well be skipped to directly start working on the next one.

I was wondering about that... it is a bit weird to be limited by map mods, like do I seriously get LESS chances on a harder map? what's the point then, I'll just unjuiced maps with a bunch of tablets lmao.
Which portals? In 0.1 you had one portal per map no matter the number of mods. So right now you have more portals per map than before unless you do 6-mod waystone.

I agree, they should go back to the way it was at the start.
I agree that running 6-mod maps shouldn't be so restricted. Two portals seems reasonable.

I can understand limiting higher-risk maps to one portal, such as T16 maps or corrupted T15 maps.

I really hope this kind of sentiment loses them players;

Deeply unbalanced game with 1-try content as it's main course is dumb, no way they don't see it.
It creates that friction they like for 'souls-based' gaming. I wouldn't be surprised they go back to .1 where it's just 1 portal regardless of how many mods.

DO MAPS WITH 4 MODS IF YOUR BUILD CANT SURVIVE MAPS WITH 6 MODS.

What's the problem? You want to do all content on build that can't handle regular maps? Not happening.

When i start first character, i literally do 2 mod magic maps until i reach t15, then i do 4 mod t15s until i get to like 90 ish level, at that point build has no problems doing 6 mod maps.
