Account Ban Revoked / Lifted Following Investigation

I have another account, it has been banned for the use of third party software.


I had been playing PoE 2 early access. NeverSink's loot filter was being utilized, linked to the account. There was nothing else running on the system working with PoE 2. There were a few internet browser tabs open on a second monitor.


I advised GGG support, and offered full and unrestricted access to anything and everything on the system. I explained that I'm willing to help in any way I can to allow identification of what caused the false-positive for cheating resulting in the account ban and facilitate a correction so that this doesn't happen again in the future .. to me, or other players. The response indicated that the policy doesn't allow the release of any information that would allow me to cheat better.


Be advised that NeverSink's loot filter linked to the poe account may cause an account ban for use of third-party software. Although this is a function allowed by GGG directly, be aware it is the only third party software being utilized while playing poe2 EA.


Consider any financial purchases for an account a non-tax deductible donation allowing temporary enjoyment and use of until the RNG account ban hits your account. Be prepared to lose access to anything purchased and be forced to begin again with a new account at any time.


Think twice about dismissing any credibility to a player's notification that their account has been banned for doing nothing wrong. This is real, this is happening, and there appears to be no interest in fixing it.

Is it possible that it had been compromised, and that someone else had used third-party software in conjunction with the game? While playing, did you receive and dismiss any detection notifications? GGG do typically show one or more third-party software warnings before actually banning an account. Would anyone else (e.g. a younger sibling) potentially have been able to log in and play?

Stop lying be honest. You got the banhammer. What did u do? RMT? Script hacking deluxe? Or did you scam for the greater guud?

No RMT, no notifications, no one had access.

I travel for work, I had been playing from a laptop in a hotel. There was no one else in the room. I did some work with skill and support gems, a few short trips into combat areas for testing and back to town.

No trades and no chat interaction. I honestly don't have any idea what caused it. If you could see what the account has for items / currency you would know this is true.

I have used NeverSink's filter for years, I agree its unlikely. The trouble is there is literally nothing else it could be. This is why I was hoping GGG would find out what caused it so it doesn't happen again.

It's an ASUS gaming laptop. I normally don't play from it, the first time I did this is what happened.

To the toxic responses, laugh while it's not you until it is, then it won't be so funny and the toxic responses will be as welcome as they are to me now.

ASUS has some nasty 3rd party tools. Maybe ur "gaming" laptop has some preinstalled tools that trigger GGGs anti-cheat system. U said urself that it's the first time u played PoE with that system, so it might be related.

Neversink definitely isn't the reason.

You are slandering the creator of one of the best and most helpful tools in all of PoE. I think its safe to say 90%+ of players use filterblade so if there was a problem it would be very widespread.

You either knowingly or unknowingly have something else installed or you have some weird agenda against neversink.

I'm not slandering anyone, I don't know the guy / woman and have never interacted with him / her. There is no agenda, I have no bad intentions.

All I want to do is identify the problem and get it resolved. I also don't want anyone else to be banned for whatever it is, hence the offer to support and the post. It's frustrating that nothing but good intentions - after doing nothing intentionally wrong - can be met with such indifference and insulting responses.

I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else, it's incredibly frustrating.
