Visual Clarity of skills is already WORSE than poe1

Before anyone tells me it's not worse, remember poe1 got to this point after 10+ years of updates and power creep. Poe2 visual clarity is already this bad and the game is not even released.

Here are my issues:

Skill design and scaling - The main issue is that scaling of AOE and number of projectiles is getting as crazy as in poe1, and on top of that the poe2 skill effects look even crazier which makes the clutter just insane. It almost feels like the player skills were designed to look good in a vacuum, not with the endgame scaling in mind.

Not being able to see boss mechanics - POE2 has these cool boss fights with lots of mechanics that you need to avoid, but there are builds that make it literally impossible to see them. This heavily incentivizes builds that one shot bosses, so you don't risk dying beacuse of a mechanic that you cannot see.

These are also the reasons why we are all asking for a visual effect slider and death recap.

Agree about the visual effects. They are too much. Path of Can't See Sh!t

Chris Wilson's new arpg will be different.
As for POE2. Well, plans are to replace POE1. That's what is happening for quite some time.
A part of me quite enjoys all the crap I make fly across the screen, until it completely obscures a ground degen or boss mechanic and I die. Can't have it both ways I guess.
I'd have to agree. My Spark build isn't an extreme example, but it's bad enough, even without throwing down a triple-infused Firestorm.

Is this "The Vision"?

It has become unavoidably obvious that the feedback forum is not for feedback, it will not be read, and if it was, it is only so they can discard it.

Either the community liaison, the game director, or both, are failing miserably at their jobs. The worst part lf this is that the people voicing their feedback kn here are the ones who care the most about the future of the game and the company itself. We want to see it not only succeed but thrive so that we can enjoy our favourite game by our favourite company in perpetuity.

Visual clarity and the game not respecting a players time have been the two biggest pieces of feedback since the start, yet neither have been addressed. We can only continue to offer guidance and hope that dismissal of our feedback doesn't cause the game to fail as the player retention numbers indicate.

Yes, I too often regret not being able to see enemy attacks and patterns. I even gave up my first fire comet druid for this reason.
It's not my fault, you can't see anything.
