Worst boss design award - Arbiter of Bitterness

As somebody who beat him today he is more about knowing the mechanics than anything else:
- At 65% of health he spawns waves of fire, so you have to quickly run to safe spots 8-10 times. The lower health he has when he summons them, the more waves he summons.
- At around 50% he summons sequence of falling orbs that you have to run into exactly 8 times.
- After that get him quickly to around 35% of health and he starts his phase 2. If you don't do it quickly enough he will repeat waves (10 waves this time) and then falling orbs again.
- In phase 2 he can cover arena in purple (prevents all the health and energy shield recovery, need to play very carefully till it disappears) or ice (constantly chills you, so anti-slow charm or Wanderlust / reverse chill armour would be helpful there). However, in phase 2 he does not have anti-burst mechanics like in phase 1, so freezing / electrocuting him and bursting him should work well. Freezing Mark was very helpful there to freeze him quickly and get a damage boost from buff simultaneously, for lightning builds it can be replaced by Voltaic Mark with Electrocution gem or Kitoko's Current.

However, there are 3 issues with him that indeed need work:
- Mentioned above orb + ray combo where the only safe spot is circle and he beams right into it, especially in phase 2 that has beam area increased. As user of Blink I could not afford staying outside of circle and teleporting 1 second before explosion as suggested above as Blink has no iframes and without using Blink you risk not getting to distantly spawned falling orbs in phase 1 in time. There should be more safe area to stand in circle for such cases in phase 2.
- Some falling orbs spawn quite far from each other and there is pretty much no chance to get to them in time without using Blink or other movement ability, even with movement speed boots. Orbs should spawn closer to each other.
- And the biggest issue that I faced is - getting disconnected when fighting him teleports you to hideout (as pausing is disabled when fighting him and usual pause on disconnect does not work) and you can no longer reenter arena and all that is left is refarming all fragments AGAIN to fight him. That is extremely bad situation (losing hours of progress to just disconnect that can happen to GGG's own servers issues too) and should have been addressed the moment they heard about it (I doubt I am the first to report that). GGG, if you are reading this - please fix this issue ASAP as I have little doubt that many players that face such situation can simply ragequit.

Just have to learn the fight.

If other players can beat the Arbiter while wearing no gear, the OP can definitely beat the Arbiter while wearing gear.

The naked monk was OP build becouse it used OP skill.... Everything is unbalanced to this game.

Still not sure how a deadly looking fireball slowly descending is meant to telegraph the 'safe spot' of an explosion attack.

They used this delusional boss attack on 1st Jamanra fight already. And smth similar A3 Doriani has in his arsenal as well.

Worst fight GGG has made? Hmm.. I don't think so.

GGG has made some very "special" bosses over the years. They for some reason pride themselves on their boss designs in fact, when it's probably more of a 50/50 ratio.

The only dynamic mechanic is his beam which is taken directly from the Shaper Beam + Zana cover mechanic in first end-game boss from like 2016. Anyways, I think they've mad much worse.

There was Scourge bosses who had 2 basic mechanics and just a ton of regen. One of the Abyss bosses was just a DPS check or you died. I didn't play Harven but Oshabi has been a complete joke since. Metamorph, the "Build your own boss" was a great show in failure for dynamic mechanics. I don't think Lycia is possible first try on a blind run. Which is sad given the situation. I did Sirus blind 2nd try before he was nerf'd. Point is. they've mad some pretty bad bosses.

To this day I like Izaro. He's fully dynamic. Though entirely power creep'd to trivial.

so basically learn the fight through vidoes or just become so op that you kill him in a 3 seconds, sums up everything.
If you call Arbiter bad , i wonder how you would fare Uber Maven... Scurry Scurry.
It is a horrendously designed fight and I also wouldn't do it if it weren't for the tablet thing and the unlimited tries. It's still not the worst, I hated Sirius much more and I hear they even made worse ones after I've abandoned PoE1, too.

You aren't supposed to fight bosses in POE1. You are supposed to endure until they are deleted.
I would like to see fights of these people who sayin its skill issue. I can guess what its look like-so much dps that you don't have to make mechanicsXD My last fight was 10min and I can assure some mechanics are bolshit becouse of visibility or orb+ray (at once)-worst mechanic I encounter in ARPG
