0.4.0c Hotfix 14

You guys are soooooo out of touch with your player base that its actually comical. Just admit you messed up and revert, you have thousands of people here telling you it was a mistake.

Also what is the point of having this forum if you don't give a crap about your player feedback???
Why are you guys on fire? It's written in Russian language. Now it is easier and more profitable to build a temple. If you can't do it, maybe it's not the patch, but the build/hands? Thanks to GGG for the top patch.
revert lock & spy change keep diminishing returns. Don't punish players who are still working on building their temple.

i never played poe1 and started playing poe2 in 0.1. i played the absolute sht out of 0.1 and had about 700 hours. it was a ton of fun because i had never played a game similar to this before. i quit playing mainly because the pc i had at the time couldnt really handle things when i got to the end game, and i was unable to farm things like breach and delirium. i was basically a sekhemas farmer. i got a new pc a few months ago, and picked the game up again near the end of 0.3. started playing again and it was just as fun as i remembered. at the end of 0.3 i was playing a blood mage build that used sacrifice of blood, and was pretty disappointed that you nerfed it going into 0.4 but i understand this is an early access game and you want to try and balance things by not having super overturned builds. i eventually found another build that felt great and still using it now. when i first started running temples i was super focused on rushing atziri, mainly because i wanted to chase some of the higher end drops that can come from the boss. i did this for like a week or two, but eventually got annoyed with how bad the temple would break down after each time completing the boss, and not being able to rebuild to fight it again usually for at least another 3 temples. i eventually stopped running temples for a bit and started to farm abyss. (which if im going to just farm abyss i might as well just go play standard where i have significantly more currency, but id rather stay in the new league). i eventually came across seeing some of the massive temples people were building, and saw how crazy the reward for getting a fully built out one could be. so i picked up temple farming again and started grinding. it was incredibly hard getting the chain going at the start, it was tough to sustain a temple by locking the end of the chain until i had built out like 20+ rooms, but it was still a super fun grind, and it felt rewarding making progress. ive sunk like 10+ hours a day over the christmas/new years holiday into grinding temple, and finally have one that is a full loop around the outside. running it wasnt dropping any insane amounts of currency or anything, yet. but i knew the potential was there, and i was getting closer. when you guys nerfed the holten exploit it made sense. but when you addressed that, you buffed the temples a bit and made it feel more rewarding for people that hadnt built out a fully functional temple using the exploit. but now you have completely neutered the temple that i spend a solid 50+ hours building, and its completely destroyed the desire to progress. for the first time in weeks, i didnt start my day wanting to grind the heck out of this game, because it feels like the reward for the effort, just isnt there anymore. the simple solution to the problem you guys created, was to nerf the amount of drops a temple gives when youre running a full party. i dont know much about people abusing bot parties and farming temples with a bunch of accounts that just follow them around the temple to buff their drop rates. but nerfing that was the clear and easy solution. completely changing temple mechanics day to day, and removing the ability to lock the end of your chain unless its a tier 3 room, completely kills the desire to build out a temple. if i have a tier 2 room and it gets upgraded to tier 3 from placing another room after it, i can only protect the tier 3 room, and the one used to upgrade it is vulnerable. if that room gets removed, the tier 3 turns into a tier 2, and i can no longer protect it. this can just cascade, and cause you to continue to lose rooms over and over, which makes progressing feel impossible, not rewarding. you are clearly paying attention to the reaction from the playerbase, and trying to make day to day fixes. but youve gone in the completely wrong direction. revert the changes in the last couple days, its ok to admit you tried to fix things, but missed the mark. undo the change to spymaster and golem works rooms, and allow locking whatever room people want. one change you can make that would make sense, is preventing people from locking a spymaster at the end of a change that is going to be sacrificed. i can agree that being able to sacrifice the room and still maintain it after is unbalanced. the only thing you need to do to balance temples, is to lower the drop rates in top end temples when people are funning a full party. simple. who cares if people want to build a temple that is a bunch of rooms that repeat, the idea of temple, at least in my opinion, is to let people build it how they want to run it. you are trying to force people into building things in a way you want them to build it. i hope you guys can figure out the solution you are going with is not the answer, based on the feedback youve been receiving, but i dont really have any confidence you will. which is pretty unfortunate, because ill end up dropping the game like i did in 0.1, but this time wont be coming back.

OH SHIT GET DOWN

PLEASE reset all temples to a fresh start to stop those who have exploited and fully built ones!

Unfortunately, this is impossible. It would trigger more negative reactions than positive ones, and GGG would once again lose players’ trust due to resetting things in the middle of an ongoing league. This would affect the majority of players who had nothing to do with cheating. In Path of Exile 2, we already have regular resets every four months, and that is more than sufficient. Now the focus should be on putting everything in order and calmly testing things in private leagues and ssf.
It’s really disappointing that the developers continue to show little regard for the time of casual players. Loot nerfs are one thing, but completely changing how the Temple works and removing the ability for casuals to build temples feels like a slap in the face to those of us who don’t have the luxury of hours upon hours to dedicate. The new system just reinforces the idea that only hardcore players matter, ignoring a significant portion of the player base that helped make the game what it is today. It’s honestly hard to respect these changes.
ive been playing for many years and this have to be the worse decisions ever made. damage is already done, so let us a least have fun and revert it.

its very clear that devs dont play their own game and completely ignore what 120+ pages of forum posts demand

Anyone else getting this bug in Temple since patch?
In summary: those who exploited game mechanics continue to run around in full parties with their perfect temples, while regular players can't build a temple or preserve their progress. The hate and negative reviews are well-deserved—GGG is punishing casual players and constantly showing disrespect and a lack of understanding of game mechanics.
we need revert lock change, not stupid 30% less destabilised rooms.
