Endgame feedback with the Temple

The game needs scaling mechanics that actually challenge players to push their builds further, with rewards that scale appropriately with difficulty, as the Temple used to do before the nerf. At the moment, the game feels too easy in almost every aspect, and the Temple in particular has lost its identity as an endgame challenge.

Before the nerf, the Temple required effort, planning, and optimization. Now, the endgame feels almost nonexistent.

Difficulty and effort should always be matched by meaningful rewards.

At the very least, Tier 2 locks should be restored.

Ideally, Temple difficulty should scale exponentially to continuously challenge players, providing a true endgame experience.

Additionally, secondary map content such as Breach, Delirium, and Abyss could grant extra Temple crystals. This would make the Temple more relevant, encourage engagement with side content, and positively impact the in-game economy.

Help players build the Temple more quickly in the early and mid game. However, as the Temple scales in difficulty, it should require players to take their time to improve and optimize their builds — and that process is exactly what makes it fun.

Wow, that’s a lot of replies—that’s the most interaction I’ve seen yet. People are quitting this season with the patch. I hope this doesn’t cause permanent damage to the community, because this game is growing thanks to its players.

And I’ll skip running temple for now; it doesn’t seem easy to do. In Mirror drop chances it could take a full weekend to build, and even then it might collapse couple of run later. The first testers / abusers had their fun, and now casual players are got punished by the patch changes.

Please do not release a season in december anymore.
Temple was actually a good think for endgame, you had a challenge as a normal player.

Now i think i am done with the season this league.
I had to delete my old negative steam review just to make another one....
One of the few posts I have ever made on the forum. This change is tragic, im neither zoomer, nor casual, tried to build temple for my enjoyment and you ruined it all. Game has no fun endgame the only fun this patch was trying against all odds to build the temple.

Going back to other games till the change is made in the topic, or to POE1, I think with POE2 will wait for release to forget about it later on...
How did 5 people in a room collectively thought this was a good idea? At no point did anyone say this could be a bad idea? Insane

As a person who still has op temple (~30 divs per run) im still dissapointed, old temple gave good incentitive to actually upgrade your character, cos 4k effectiveness +10 mod rares wasnt joke at all.
Actually felt like real endgame first time ever in this parody of a game.
Now we're back to onetapping everything and only thing that matters is speed.
Like i get it, server strain and shit, but cmon ggg you unintentionally created meaningfull endgame which everyone did enjoy, just to fuck it all up in 1 single patch.
Pure definition of "shooting yourself in the foot".
You guys are making mistake after mistake, cmon get your stuff together.
