0.4.0c Hotfix 13

Hello,

I am writing this email as a Path of Exile 2 player to formally express my serious dissatisfaction with the recent developments in the game and to request a full refund for the game as well as all in-game purchases I have made.

Over a long period of time, the development team has consistently failed to take player feedback into account, resulting in regular players being unfairly punished for playing the game in a normal and legitimate way. Most notably, during the current season, the Vaal Temple farming method was actively used by many players for nearly a month, allowing them to accumulate significant wealth without intervention. However, once other players began using the same method, it was suddenly and heavily nerfed, rendering it nearly unusable.

This situation has:

Created severe unfairness among players,

Irreversibly damaged the in-game economy,

Penalized players who were playing honestly and as intended,

Seriously undermined my trust in both the development team and the game itself.

Under these circumstances, I no longer enjoy playing Path of Exile 2 and have completely lost confidence in the product. For this reason, I am requesting a refund not only for the base game, but also for all in-game purchases I have made throughout my time playing, including (but not limited to) microtransactions, supporter packs, and other paid content.

I believe that the product and paid content I purchased have failed to provide the fair, consistent, and balanced gameplay experience that was promised. I respectfully ask that my refund request be reviewed and that I be contacted regarding the outcome.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Kind regards,
EWELANCHE#2815

Nerfing a league mechanic after so many players have thoroughly taken advantage of it and letting them keep all the advantages is the most frustrating thing GGG can do
They did this with Tower double juicing last league
They did it again with abyss
And now with temple.

You can ignore it all you want and play some breach or expedition.
But when the time comes to buy an upgrade, the buying power of exploiters will slap you in the face

You said, We don't to do mod league nerfs, because it's frustrating to players... Yeah right
You accidentally created one of the best, if not the best, league mechanics ever in terms of player retention, community engagement, rewards for the time invested, and much more. I honestly don’t remember the last time I was this keen on playing something for several hours just to expand a few tiles in my temple. When I started, all I saw and heard were those white and red sweet dinks of the loot I was going to get, but after just a few hours of building my snake, I can honestly say that the loot didn’t matter that much anymore. I simply enjoyed the building process, and I’m 100% sure I’m not the only one who felt this way. :)

This league was finally not just about watching a few YouTube videos to figure out whether you earn more divines doing rituals or breaches. The amount of time we spent in the planner (which someone else created for the community to make things easier) felt like time well spent, just to avoid bricking the snake later. The number of streamers and more experienced builders we consulted about what our next steps should be is the kind of community engagement that most games lack nowadays—and we had it for several days.

To sum it up, I would say that everyone expected drop nerfs, and everyone is OK with that, we saw it coming. But with this patch, it feels like your intention is to limit our options to build and create our own part of the game, and that doesn’t feel good at all.

At this point, you should rework the patch changes, most importantly the T3 lock, and simply nerf the drops to make the rewards comparable with other league mechanics. This will give you the time needed to come up with a better solution. It is too late to patch this the way you did, and I think you already understand that. I’m pretty sure that whoever cooked this patch hasn’t spent a single hour in the planner and has a small snake, but that’s fine. Mine is also a grower, not a shower. :)
This is a horrible decision and I cant believe you guys brick peoples temples and waste our time like this.
If this patch stays, I’m gone.

Bye bye, do you do the same thing in an air port ? Announce your departure ?

Let me know if you are gone though
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.
Bruh. I dont have ALL DAY to grind for incursion crystals. I have a life to live.

You're nerfing mid league when you said you wouldnt.
By the time I make a decent temple, Its gonna be a new league with another dead content.

instead of putting caps and diminishing returns, you gatekeep this from casual

not everybody plays "I know everything and every part of this game"
What do you mean you're swapping mechanics mid league? I'm still learning about this shit.

not every has time to play 12 hours
Your streamers earn 90+ divines per run, while I'm out here getting 1 a day. That's fair but again, thats because I have to invest WEEKS even months to get good at the content I ENJOY.

When problems arise, you stand idly by. You drive away those who don’t want to play the temple game. After returning from vacation, you destroy the temple and chase away those still playing.
How do you manage to always pick the worst possible choice in both scenarios? GGG.
The crudest and most terrible decision you've ever made. Roll back the lock changes!!!
I was kind of enjoying playing this league and as a casual gamer still building temple but probably no point now so. Thx. See you next time maybe,.
