Jonathan, you should seriously consider introducing distinct difficulty modes

Maybe they could make it when you make custom legauge there is more options to make it harder/easier ?

poe2 is the best ARPG on market. D4 is dead, LE is dead and all other are more then dead.

Wonder why people keep posting these lies. What is the goal here, to rage bait? Because this is so silly I am not sure anyone will get angry, bewildered more like
"
Ahem, everyone is dead, everyone is a zombie, i cry cuz i want this game to fail, make me a pizza, i want a pizza or i will cry more.

this is what i understood from this thread ...
Hardest diffucility in this game is to watch XXX grounds, if a corpse is exploding or not, trail of fires/ices , too much green , anything in the late game just bogs vision. I hardly look at the map because there are no spots to walk around if running XXXX ground maps and too much death effects.

A new herald that explodes corpses should introduce the game so i can reduce my headache.

I don’t want just another difficulty lvl slop like D4 is doing that does essentially nothing. I want a distinct mode with different balance, economy, and gameplay. A ruthless mode where the game is tuned to be a game first and foremost, where gameplay and visibility matters and it’s not just another cookie clicker with a divs per hour mindset.

I think it’s abundantly clear we need a Zoom Mode for the cookie clicker, 1-button build, omega density and 0 visibility crowd -and a Ruthless Mode for the rest of us who want to play a game with meaningful combat, visibility, and progression that respects players time by not trivializing the early game.

I think whatever GGG is doing right now is not nearly enough. Next league is the “endgame league” yet 0.4 had downright shameful balance during the campaign. The game felt trivial and boring until I reached Act 4. Was it intentional? No idea but it’s the second league in a row with terrible balance.

This is just completely unrealistic right now. In the middle of development, lets create a completely second game with its own balance, economy and gameplay? And balance this against what? A completely unfinished, unbalanced experience? I think people need to slow down a little bit. They still don't have the core mechanics sorted yet (Hence endgame rework). I think people believe this game is closer to being done then it really is. Still need multiple classes released, multiple weapons released, multiple core mechanics fixed, and all the skills and supports for those weapons. Then everything will need to be rebalanced against the campaign and endgame. Right now they also need to fix the people at GGG. Too many love certain build types and ignore most other skills and setups, and also listen to streamers and HC players who only care about min/max and are fine with ditching or overlooking fun mechanics. GGG needs to focus on gameplay, completing unfinished aspects. THEN balance. THEN once they have ONE completed game, they can work on something like you mentioned. Maybe in 2028 you could see it.

It’s either this or this poor middle ground we’re at right now.

I think it’s pretty mandatory at this point if GGG wants to make a game for such a wide playerbase. They can’t cater to the button mashers and expect the rest of us to be ok with the slop.
