One portal deaths kill my will to play the game

Do maps with 4 mods.

Except that to progress the atlas passive it requires you to do 6 mod maps. Having a Third Tablet requires 6 mod maps, the tablets offer far too much to ignore them

The game is not polished enough and is far too rippy for the current 1 portal system, not to meantion bugs and constant crashing. Currently it's far too easy to die from a random unseen off screen meteor or some other rubbish, and of course this just increases significantly further with more map mods.

The next argument is going to be "Make a better build"

I can run a T15 6 mod map and not even bat an eye and the next one I run, encounter 1 rare and instantly die, hell even the wrong type of white mobs with the wrong modifiers can wipe out a toon. I can kill all the T3 bosses in under 10 seconds and still randomly die in a 6 mod T15 map.

The next one will be "don't run modifiers you cannot handle"

Sure thats fine, but then you are limiting your character options even more. The other issue here is that a lot of the modifiers are always dangerous, regardless of your build.

There are only a handful of good build options that can truly run 6 mod maps properly with almost no risk. These also usually require a good amount of gear investment due to their popularity. This then brings the question as to how can you achieve this point without the superior drop rates of the T15 6 map mods.

The other concept with these top tier builds is that the reason they work is that they achieve this through raw power, with massive amounts of damage that covers entire screens worth of monsters, completly bypassing any game mechanics in place.

For a game franchise that is meant to be about creative freedom they sure like to shit on that with terrible unintuitive modifiers and having their gear progression so wack that the best way to win is to not engage with the game at all.

Isn't that crazy that in order to not die you need either better defense or paying more attention when playing?

Wouldn't mind to see your character, maybe its glasscannon and its actually your problem that you die.

Oh by all means take a look.

More than happy for people to see what I am playing.

Links can be used for PoB or PoE Ninja or the seperate Maxxroll one for those who like that.

Nothing special, basic druid with Flamebreath, Flame breath is pretty OP as far as skills go. So sure I could possibly lean a little more into defenses, however I expect I could improve by maybe 15% with basic gear improvements. Gear is decent enough but not ground breaking, no fancy interactions with uniques or anything of the sort.

My point still stands, you cannot say that my build is truly lacking, its so bland its not funny but I should not need to have some weird and wonderful world breaking interaction to beat the game. I am using skills in their most basic format, stacking Armor/ES, utilising what should have been expected for the class I picked and where I started in the tree, I have not neglected anything in its form.

In Wyvern I have 10k Armor and 70% conversion to ele damage. Tooltip showing 74%. I am stating this as none of the planners show Transforms properly yet.

Frustration and improvement has always been a part of the game improve your build and you'll understand once you're crushing everything.

Hello and Happy New Year,

Death in End Game mapping is far to punishing.

Upon a singular death in a 6-mod map:
1. Loss of Waystone
2. Loss of XP
3. Must re-do map
4. NO TABLETS while re-do'ing said map

Death to Boss in any Waystone:
1. Loss of all content in Map.
2. Loss of XP
3. Boss back on full health
4a. If failed again must re-do map
4b. NO TABLETS while re-do'ing said map

Finally made it to Atziri: Die to Unknown mechanic
1. Cant get back to her unless a bunch of maps and good rng.

Finally make it to a Citadel: Oops died
1. Good luck finding another one.

This is a lot. I don't understand the HC like mechanics in the SC. I recognize that I may have some bias coming from PoE1 and loving my 6 portal defense. It just feels bad. It's the only time that I actually want to stop playing the game. I have almost 1400 hrs in the game and even more in PoE1, much more lol. Its a buzz-kill in the whole game play loop.

Just let me play your amazing game.

Piggy Backing.

100% agree. Looking forward to their end-game updates. I hope they're listening to feedback.
I think I'd be ok with 1 life maps IF 3rd tablet wasn't attached to it. I don't use tablets just to juice. I use them to experience content. Tablets are how we alter the map to have the things we enjoy. So being forced to play 1 life maps if I want more content I enjoy on it feels bad. I think 1 life maps should be their own thing. Like just add X% raw drops but you get one life or something. Keep it as a challenge for the people that want it but don't gate actual content behind it. It could be a corrupt mod or they could even just make 3rd tablet show up at 4 mods instead of 6. Idk, I just wanna see cool shit and live to experience it with my middling builds.
If you are not ready to face juiced maps, then you aren't ready.

You dying is the reminder.

Also flame breath is an awful mapping skill, as you are constantly reminded (by dying while using it). Get real my dude.

I'm always confused how the the difficulty ramps devolve into...

NO life

NO shield

NO point of having climbed the power fantasy cause buggy unchecked thing.

Just "git gud" = exploit the broken mess. Instead of mastering combat mechanics.

This "vision" is rough to be dragged through.
There is a solution for that, go 5 mods waystone. So you have 2 revives, if you still can't clear it with 2 revives, then your character is simply not enough for that content. How is it hard to accept this?
I have no idea why they decided to remove six portals. It just makes their many other game development flaws even more evident. People wouldn't be nearly as outraged with on death effects, visual clarity, one shots etc if they just left us with six portals like poe1
Remember before they removed using tablets on towers, running maps unID was a perfectly viable strategy? In exchange for not knowing what mods you're running or how many, you got 6 portals.

I miss when running unID maps was actually something worth doing. Now you can't without giving up a tablet.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!
