3.28 Date?
" But they will fix it, all (endgame) in 0.5, they promised! Haha, copium is so strong in community. I'll keep skipping until 1.0 lands on my disc, until that time PoE1 only matters. |
|
" Yeah... They will improve it, but not fix it. As long as they can't realize that 'most' map layouts are bad and that players want the freedom/agency to choose what content/maps to run (over and over again if they like), the PoE2 endgame is never going to feel good. I mean... They have the numbers and statistics from PoE1. How many players prefer Cells, Mineral Pools or Ancient City? How many players do NOT take advantage of the favorite map slots? How many players do not like the freedom/agency to run one (or a few) maps over and over again? They knew, but chose to ignore/not implement that agency. For PoE2's endgame to become good, it needs to be suited and built around repetetive gameplay. Currently, it isn't. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Having never read the "book," I know from the reviews that I would hate:
Dodge Roll Ascendancy trials Narrow skill options Balance through negatives on everything Truncated, Vegas-style crafting And a few other things I can't be arsed to recall. Pretty sound basis to take a pass, I think. ='[.]'= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

" So, in essence, the book has never been sampled firsthand, yet its flavor is already considered unpleasant, a judgment drawn from impressions that, naturally, differ from person to person. Ironically, both games share much in feel and play, though it is curious how much certainty can seem to arise without any direct engagement. Sometimes even the smallest taste can reveal subtleties that reputation alone cannot, yet it is remarkable how often such chances are quietly set aside, as if already assumed unworthy of exploration. ='[.]'= Hobby Gamer and Professional Software Engineer & Systems Architect from Tennessee

" Don't forget "meaningful combat" that doesn't feel terribly meaningful. The one thing POE2 got right was the boss fights. I'll give credit where credit is due. Everything else outside of graphics is just a downgrade in my experience. Thanks for all the fish!

" Totally agree with you. The biggest fumble is the new gem system tbh. Quality and Slots are tied to a single gem instead of one piece of armour. Support gems are the biggest joke ever, 100 added last league and 8 of them used by the community because no one likes conditional damage. Why even add 100 if they serve literally no purpose?
