Lightning Warp + Ball Lightning not working smoothly in 0.4.0

Please fix target prioritization for this Lightning Warp. Makes this skill mostly unusable.

we got any words from the dev about this yet ?
When you releases something and not one single person enjoy it, i think you major problem.

The dev encourage "combo gameplay", we literally use the skill how they portray it in the in-game tutorial : Shoot Ball Lightning, proceed to Lightning Warp to it. Why do they have to nerf the intended interaction ?

If this is indeed a nerf, please at least make a support gem that bring back the old interaction. I would sacrifire a gem slot just to have it play smoothly like previous patches.

Want to know why I HATE THIS SEASON? This is why!

season 1 started using Ball Lightning and Lightning Warp- AWESOME! Super fun fun!

Season 2 Lightning warp! Oh im getting better! FUN!

Season 3 MORE Lightning Warp! oh yeah, i got it down! I know what im doing now! 750,000 - 1.2 MILLION damage PER WARP. If there are 8 Balls of Lightning yeah, BIG DAMAGE! BIG FUN!! I wasnt a glass cannon either...

NOW SEASON 4...Not only did they poo poo on some of the gear i was using AND nerf passive nodes, which they did in seasons 1-3 but They went and changed the interaction between Ball lightning and Lightning Warp and completely deleted my entire play style.

3 seasons of playing and learning this play style. ALL FOR NOTHING!

TBH i had and still have ZERO interest in any of the other spells, ZERO interest in arrows, minions, spears, and bears or melee.. and yuck Spark! Spark is BORING!

The ONLY reason to do this to BL+LW is because they dont want anyone using anything but spark.

TILL ALL ARE SPARK

Ah, I didn't play PoE1, so I didn't have a ton of expectations. That's probably why I can't relate to some of these concerns re: the design of the game. I can understand, though.

Deceleration doesn't help, but Acceleration kinda works. I have to adjust my approach a bit: BL+LW are no longer my main offensive capabilities, rather, I use the combo to reposition and occasionally get lucky with a BL that is between mobs so I can hit t hem.

I'm also boosting the AoE on it (esp. since that got nerfed IIRC) with the hopes that enemies are close enough to still get hit. A lot of time it's just giving me movement+infusions.

I still get gibbed in tight spots where I wouldn't before, and I can't imagine it scaling to Simulacrum or anything. For now I'm still playing, though...

No it didnt work. They killed it from their side.

only spark only spark only spark

My favorite build is Stormweaver Sorcerous, and I am attempting to run something this season similar to what I ran last season. It relies on Warp as a main offensive ability which makes me rich in infusions $$$

However, this change may have made the build unusable:

Lightning Warp: ...New additional behaviour: If used on an enemy that is not under the Cull threshold, it will now apply a Debuff that will cause its normal warping behaviour automatically if the enemy falls under the Cull threshold while the Debuff is active.

Especially with big mobs/bosses, it is nearly impossible to target the ball lightning instead of the boss.

So I fire a bunch of ball lightnings at a boss, spam Warp, but the boss hits me in the face because my warps are repeatedly applying the debuff to the boss. Enemies appear to have a larger hitbox than the ball lightning, too.

Please fix :( this used to be incredibly smooth and satisfying gameplay, now I might give up and reroll.

still waiting for it to be fixed
Yeah it’s literally unplayable on Mouse and Keybord. Lightning Warp NEVER targets Ball Lightning, not even when slotted into a CoC. They need to fix this issue, at least it’s fine on controller, but I’d rather play another build than switching back and forth between controller and MnK for inventory management (they removed seemless transition from mnk to controller in-game btw, no clue why)
