Poe 2 makes me appreciate the genius of Chris Wilson

Chris Wilson has created the best arpg of all time. Path of exile 1.
Poe 2 is doomed. Without his leadership they are completely lost. Not listening to the players going by their own vision that will lead them to downfall.

What genius? Chris Wilson was the reason why melee sucked in PoE1 and his training of the guys at the helm now is the reason why melee still sucks in PoE2.

You guys hate Ruthless, and Ruthless was the inspiration for POE 2, and guess who created and was the main advocate for Ruthless? It was Chris.

Chris was also against async/instant trade, and now we have that, and everyone loves it and thinks it's a vastly better experience.

You guys just look at Chris with rose-colored glasses and are trying to place blame on people for POE 2 not being the carbon copy of POE 1 that you want. The POE 1 playerbase and GGG's devs have always disagreed on tons of things, Chris or otherwise.

I personally believe that if Chris Wilson were still CEO, he would never let low quality low effort league like Keeper fly. And to some extend, Mercenary (The Mercenary mechanics, not the atlas rework)

I truly believe it.

He has controversial stances, yes. But while he was still CEO we had high quality leagues with actual complex and thoughtful mechanics that mesmerize the players. That's the Path of Exile I fell in love with.

And today's Path of Exile shallow, uncaring and low effort content is very heart-breaking to me.

The best part is that PoE 1 still exist so you can play that all you want.

I feel like they do listen to some feedback. But they will make a compromise that no one is really happy with and doesn't solve the core issue then wipe their hands of it and move on like it's fixed. I'm really getting to the point where I don't want to bother providing feedback and just stop playing the game. I know I'm not at an airport and don't need to announce my departure but like c'mon man.

It's rough when they spend months designing something and during the 30s release of what they have done everyone in the community can immediately see the issue it's going to cause, it's ridiculous. They learned nothing from poe1
