Is PoE2 even PoE?
" It's funny when presented with evidences in this thread you all deflect and make up confusing argument out of them. PoE2 0.4 is objectively worst PoE2 performing league so far and what are you excuses? (chart: https://poe2db.tw/League#ConcurrentPlayers) PoE2 have been on a decline trend since Early Access ( chart: https://steamdb.info/app/2694490/charts/#max) while PoE1 has been on a growing trend for a decade (chart: https://steamdb.info/app/238960/charts/#max) yet many sentimentals on here is that PoE1 is "outdated" and should be put aside for PoE2's growth. Ridiculous. What are your copes on these matters? " Yet it did. Look how much major change both PoE1 and PoE2 community got from major backlash. In 3.15, PoE1 community have literally driven out the PoE2 "vision" so hard GGG had to fork PoE2 into a standalone game because they cannot merge PoE1 with PoE2. Throughout PoE2 Early Access how much of "vision" was pushed back by it's own players and changed the game fundamentally? Loot? Area length? Wells? Difficulty? Towers? Sprint? Checkpoint? Map portals? If you refuse to see the trend, I will lay it out for you plainly: GGG can keep their vision and shove it up their ass. But a game is still a product, and the paying customer will have a large say in how they want the product to be. They can be stubborn on their vision and bleed players or change to the community's voice. This is entirely their choice. And the trend so far have proven that GGG is very willing to bend over to please PoE2's community. Soon the ridiculous vision will be diminished to almost nothing because the community demands it. Keep telling yourself yours and mine and other voices don't matter. Lol. I don't care about you. 1. "Meaningful Combat" Is Anti-ARPG: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3884793 2. " Lets see, expedition league backlash and kalandra league backlash are the most memorable one for me. Especially in Kalandra, the backlash was so big that Chris quickly make changes to quell the flame. |

lol is all I have left to say....I prefer to have conversations with adults.
Did you know that a new app is coming out that warns you if a child is about to throw a tantrum? That thing would be dinging like hell in this thread. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Dec 23, 2025, 7:51:50 AM

" So your entire counter-argument is calling me a child? Bro, be better. 1. "Meaningful Combat" Is Anti-ARPG: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3884793 2. there's no counterargument to be had at this point. We aren't arguing.

" I understand your frustration, but I paid for PoE2 so I don't feel in debt with anyone. |

" He is not wrong. The supporters got scammed with a wrong presentation 2021. They had much less skill effects and more visual clarity, smoother and faster gameplay. 2022 Elden Ring released and some tourists threw the old concept over board. Druid and Amazon were ready 2021 already, but had to be delayed to fit into the new combat and movement slogs. Now you are stucked with an engine coded for something else. |

Look.....this whole idea that people were "scammed" because they invested money on an "idea" is ridiculous: we were told right from the very beginning that things COULD and probably WOULD drastically change. They were upfront about that. They were even upfront about that prior to the launch of the early access, and STILL people complain that things change and their builds and stuff gets changed.
That's on y'all. Starting anew....with PoE 2

" Well, we can probably say the 2021 supporters got a very cheap lesson about investing money. I'm playing now the game knowing it will change and maybe I'll enjoy it less in the future. Last edited by SparvieroGed#4893 on Dec 23, 2025, 3:48:23 PM

" They learned that they did get what they paid for, which in this case was cosmetics, not a shareholding, voting rights, or any say in how the company spends its money. As customers, they received their products, not a contract to participate in the company’s business or to decide whether it should expand beyond a single title, such as the current case where the company chooses to work on a sequel. There is therefore no reason to feel entitled to anything further, even in a scenario where PoE1 were taken offline, because what was purchased was MTX and the advertised product was delivered. If people become dramatically emotional over their spending and start to feel like investors who have been mistreated, it may be a sign that purchasing decisions should be made more carefully in the future. Unless you actually own shares in a company or are formally part of it, “supporting” a game by buying in game items will always mean being nothing more than a customer.
