Yeah , sustaining chisels on t16s is kinda impossible unless you target chisel rewards on red altar frequently instead of more quant.
I have been doing Strongboxes for the past 4 leagues and this is the most dry one for sure. In the past , it was almost impossible to run 2 t17 maps back to back, with containment and all the shit, without seeing either a divine, a puzzle box or a reliquary key. This league I managed to run 4 of those maps in a row without seeing a tink. Each map has a 2 div cost. The times where strongboxes were guaranteed/easy farm are gone. Now you can hit dry streaks and lose money. The only thing that brought me sure profit in terms of mapping this league was what I call "low effort altars", when I just slap 1/2c scarabs for more packs and abuse red altar rewards on Jungle Valley. Still very annoying to click 30+ chaos from the ground every map. But then you start wondering? Why am I trying to push farm all that much if this is the top strat? A strat I can do with a 10 div character day 3? I tried the Feared rotations and although profitable, you quickly run out of gold, since for whatever reason ubers dont reward gold at all xd. And faustus demand a big chunk of gold to sell fragments. And I dont wanna go to TFT and pay 10 div for a gold carry. Simulacrum was profitable for a while but usually after week 2 prices start to crash. Farmed almost all of my currency in the first 2 weeks. And then the economy kinda froze. Async definitly had an impact. The tree completely killed my profit crafting strategies which were one of the funniest aspects of the game for me, farming harvest/essences and tweaking items I found for profit. That is gone. Ritual which was also a fun one to me, is terrible. Bases are one of the biggest profits in that strat and now are worth nothing. Corpses were big, and now only 2 still worth anything after the minion change. Anyway, this patch killed the fun of many things I liked about the game, and even when I turned to other things for profit, I still was profiting less than before by a significant margin. Dont expect loot buffs by the way, its probably gonna be the opposite, more and more nerfs.
Simply because async trade makes the economy crash in record times. They'll either have to nerf loot even more, or nerf async trade somehow, or both. I knew offline trade was not as good as ppl were praising it to be. Yeah, it has its benefits of QOL, but is it worth it? In a game where you equip your character and kill things expecting REWARDS in return, until you realize nothing is worth anything anymore? Players that want to kill each boss 1 time and quit the league/ move to another game, are probably happy, but min/maxers will suffer in a broken economy or just quit the league cause there is no hope. Retention rates tell enough |

I usually swim in 3k+alts by now, this league only managed to get 700 with my kills so far. They are trying to bring poe1 close to poe2 since Kalandra. |

" This is a terrible analogy. A more appropriate likening is a game of monopoly with friends but everyone receives twice the money per round. The balance is set a certain way for a reason, because there's an expected length for a game to finish If playing a video game is a hassle to you similar to waiting for the bus to arrive, maybe games just aren't your thing? Started league 1 weak late, Droped 10 apo, 3 hh, 1mb, 1 kalandra's touch, 316d raw div and about the same in valdo, without counting ship and mapers. Dont tell me "no loot".
Year after year we’ve been looting more and more, so the rebalance was necessary. |
