Where is the loot?

Definitely, I can see how for SSF it has value, but for endgame players its really poor this league.

I did early Valdos with this body armour from the tree end of week 1. How much more endgame do you need it to be?
So I play standard, I don't play league, so I will have very different perspective than league players.

In standard, those items are like a few divine at best. That doesn't mean they aren't good. Endgame to me in Standard is there aren't many upgrades for your build, and those that are available, are mirror-tier.

There was a lot more loot last league, the team at GGG has said what was changed, this isn't something I really thought we were debating. There is less loot this league than last, this is irrefutable and is due to several changes: reduction of t16.5 map quantity/rarity, reduction to explicit modifier from atlas tree, nerf to Alva farm by nerfing evolution scarab, etc.

People are still going to have nice items, but compared to last league for example, we went from the high end of loot to the lowest I have seen maybe since I started playing.

Again this doesn't take away from the incredible QOL changes and other things the team have done, but the loot is too low this league, even if we agree last league it was too high.

Hopefully we hit the middle ground next league, I am excited to see what the team will come up with.
Comparing legacy ES values to currently possible items in Keepers is some crazy work, Jhiroth.

The point people are making is that while less loot is dropping in Keepers, the quality of the loot from the league mechanic is higher. Gearing is easier at every stage of the game and average item power is through the roof. Merc may have had more raw loot, but gods I prefer crafting leagues like this one to that

I find myself wondering how many of these "Loot is bad" posts are trolling or new people that are still getting a grasp on the game. I know that some strategies were hit this league with various scarab nerfs, but there are so many viable avenues for getting rich. I do admit I never go as hard as people like Fubgun to know if the top end farms have been impacted, but I feel like if you are that level you will find a way to make plenty of currency.

Strats I've done this league:

Farming Betrayal is steady easy money with All Flames & Syndicate Tokens. You can even get super sweaty with it and earn crazy money if you have the patience to set up your board correctly.

Essences was fantastic this league, people are buying them in mass, even with the tree being broken for making fantastic items.

Kalgur Ore/Niko strats as many people have pointed out, even if it is boring.

Delve is still a consistent earner and can be low effort, or again high effort for a exponential return.

Speed running maps for Tree Juice has been pretty solid as well, Lavish, Ancient, and Provisioning?(I forget the gear item name) regularly spit out items with some level of value. I admit this is much more of a lottery than anything consistent.

Long story short, I don't understand the hate, I can see why new players might feel like loot is scarce as they don't know how to craft a strategy, but an experienced player should be able to figure something out.

I don't play SSF, but I imagine that the tree is hilariously busted for it. It makes fantastic generic gear pieces for no effort at all.

P.S. To the Jhiroth fella, I have never played standard to have any clue what the economy looks like there.

The game is not, has never been, and should never be, balanced around Standard.

The active playerbase in Standard is small, and the biggest influx of items and currency in that economy does not come from Standard players playing the game, but whenever a temporary league ends and all loot is transfered over. Because of this, the strategies to make currency in Standard league are rather limited and focus on stuff that is always in demand like yellow Harvest juice
