new bloodline ascendancies: mostly garbage?
|
Was mostly interested on the delirium one just to find out it's straight up garbage.
Reminds me of how interested I was on the harbinger ascendency from the phrecia event just to find out it was also really bad. Somehow they make the most interesting leagues have the most downsides or straight up garbage "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |

Yeah, these were underwhelming to say the least.
I understand what they are trying to do; they don't want to give you just another straight, generic layer of power on top of your ascendancy, so they make them pretty niche and specialized. But what does that achieve? It makes this whole system awesome for a few players, useless for most. You can usually find me on the bottom side of the skill tree, and I struggle to find a single node on any bloodline class I'd want to take. So, we have one class left to be released? Still "hope". Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

+1 to phrazz
i m looking desperately for an excuse to play the game. i wont say ggg didnt do enough. poe leagues kick diablo 4s season any time. but other than that, what you've said echoes my thoughts [Removed by Support]

" Yup I was hoping Catarina was gonna provide better buffs for YOUR army not for YOU. |

Aside from the spectre defense node or MAYBE the herald buff effect ( the 100% more damage for 100% reserved life and forced to go shavs is giga bait) I don't see anything even remotely exciting.
Certainly not for any late game blaster or boss killer builds. |

They look OK to me the issue is they are mostly a build in themselves or they only function for ascendancies that have 6 strong 2 weak for passive allocation.
The summary of this is that the actual number of builds that use them or the new builds they enable will be fairly thin and because its unlikely to be meta will not touch on most players experience. There is something there though and I think its OK as an addition. I've got a few builds cooking from looking at the list I just suspect those builds will be mid, i'm OK with that though. |

Absolutely weak, I can see some gladiator lucky block + some of those have potential, same with chieftain, marauder, also warden, just because they can find some kind of complement to cover them weaknesses, beyond the known working builds. But in general is a whole nono, is like, hey now you have this minion, it will give you x damage, but you have to invest x mount of raw power to keep your new pet alive, you gain nothing!! BUT enjoy searching for spectres and hoping your map is ruined if he dies lmao......

There are probably some useful ones for niche builds, i can see Scions picking it cause they only waste 3 passive points for it.
As a Hierophant totem enjoyer there isn't really anything exciting unfortunately, none of them is worth dropping dps-multi from totems or +4 min power and endurance charges |

Or maybe Umbral army could've just given plus 1 to all maximum number of minions golems included as well.

All I will say is that some, or maybe all of them, are not wirth the trouble. And I will explain.
First of all I'll explain it from the pov of aomeone that does not play meta builds and does not no life the game; trully an almost extinct player in POE. Going through all the trouble of killing some of these bosses is not worth the reward they offer. Just imagine grinding and fine tunig your non meta build for 2-3 weeks just to reach Aul and your reward is "that". On top of this, you have to sacrifice Ascendency points. Maybe if you had these blodlines on top of Ascendency, then it might be worth it. I will also add my personal nemesis: Sanctum and Ultimatum. If any casual player wants these, well you're out of luck. The most RNG mechanics in the game. Last edited by lupasvasile#5385 on Oct 27, 2025, 7:26:20 AM
