streamer opinions are worthless
abusing one-shot screen clearing build, get loot as fast as possible, complain that loot is not good enough, quit the game, wait for next league, repeat. literally gambling addict waiting for the next dopamine hit. never satisfied.

yeah man GGG should instead listen to the opinions of people who think the campaign is the main game and want 10 minute long campaign boss fights. want everything giga nerfed just so the campaign lasts even longer than it already does. want even less loot etc

" I don't think the campaign is the "main game." I also don't think it's an obstacle to me getting to the "main game" like streamers because unlike them I don't generate income from showcasing my endgame gameplay to audiences. Personally I see the campaign as just part of the game and it's a part I really enjoy. And, yeah. Streamer feedback on the campaign is fucking toxic nonsense because for them the campaign is what stands between them and making money so of course they're going to advocate for a campaign that lasts 37 minutes because nobody wants to watch them play the campaign. Whether they're doing it deliberately or not, they're going to rail against anything that threatens their ability to generate revenue from playing the game. Streamers want a game that's fun to watch. Average players want a game that's fun to play. Those aren't the same thing. Last edited by Kerchunk#7797 on Oct 8, 2025, 8:26:31 PM

" They don't care if the game is fun to watch they want a game they can showcase why you should watch THEM play it. |

2 people said that streamers are now advocating for IIR to be removed from gear. Please tell me exactly which streamers said that and if many of them are saying it. Because it's so outrageous i'll just treat this as fake news until I get names.

" so you're saying streamers who play 8+ hours a day dont care if they are having fun? they dont want a game thats fun to play? they dont mind being miserable 8+ hours a day? come on. obviously they want a game that is fun for them to play |

" He didn't say anything that was wrong though. |

" This is both a causal oversimplification and a false equivalence. Playing for long hours doesn’t automatically equal enjoyment—financial incentives and audience expectations are significant motivators that you’re ignoring. |

" That's quite an extreme over-simplification. Streamers want a game that garners an audience. That is a combination of BOTH "fun to watch" and "fun to play". If there were nobody playing the game, then nobody would be watching or even seeking out the streamers. They would have no audience, and therefore no income. The "audience" that ONLY watches the games on streams is exceedingly small. It is certainly not in the streamer's business interests to only cater to them. They want PLAYERS in their streams. Also...even though they monetize it, it still needs to be something that keeps their own interest. Streamers have literally thousands of games they COULD be streaming to make money, but they choose PoE because they find it fun to play AND stream. They are also generally the players with the most amount of time in the game, and we can infer generally also have the deepest knowledge of game mechanics BECAUSE of that time. Their opinions and criticisms overall are invaluable, whether you agree with them or not. Starting anew....with PoE 2

if streamers didnt care about having fun then they would just get a real job where they can be miserable. one reason people stream games is that they can get paid while having fun. to suggest that they dont care if they are having fun in the games they stream is absurd.
anyway this topic is pointless because GGG will always listen to streamers. they have been doing that for the past 13 years or however long the original poe has been going Last edited by Druidenjoyer#0031 on Oct 8, 2025, 9:01:02 PM
