Some input from POE2 player.
Yeah, but you can't expect every new player will have the will to study game for years to finally have fun. It can be done, but some basics need to be easy for new players.
It think most of you are speaking from the standpoint of super endgame characters. I'm talking from someone fresh to the game and levels 1-75. Highest map was tier 3. I understand it will become easy, but I think 1-75 could be more enjoyable with some of my suggestions. Especially for first time players. It takes nothing from OG players. Just lower the entry level for broader audience. Checkpoints in poe2 works immediately. Nothing has to load. That's why it's faster during campaign. I wear 30 MS boots and have blink skill and I often have to backtrack a lot. Even on maps. That's why I think it would be helpful for developing characters. Im also amazed how valuable is exalt it this game. I used mine almost immediately for some 25 ilvl item :D I thought these will be as common as in POE2. Little did I knew. But honestly having exalt for price of 1/4 divine is bad in my opinion (current price on ps5 - standard league). I wish I could just slam a few on my gear. I'm too poor to buy crafting materials and this could give me some much needed stats. Also being able to control game by controller and inventory by mouse and keyboard would be awesome. It has to come for POE2 as well. Typing on ps5 is terrible too. Im happy to hear there's a lot more to crafting than I already saw on youtube. I was really into this part of the game. Just got disappointed after watching a few tutorial videos. |

" If you don't find it fun within the first 30 minutes of play....you should quit and go to a different game. The "basics" of PoE are absolutely EASY for new players. Harder than other games, but still within everything that's normal for arpgs. Rhoas in the mud flats can and have always been....a pain in the ass.. But aside from them, there is all the information and power and straightforward-ness you need from Act 1 all the way through the campaign with little to no issues of knowledge gaps. Just don't expect deathless experience to simply be handed to you. There is absolutely nothing about this game that STOPS fun from happening simply because its complex. If the player is not having fun LEARNING and struggling, gaining knowledge after a few years won't suddenly make it fun. It will do the opposite. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Oct 10, 2025, 8:06:08 AM
