How to make currency in PoE2?

the way crafting works now is scour free. so you try
for good mods, get them or dont. and if you dont get them
save the item until you have 2 others just like it
and 3:1 for a fresh rare.

its about amassing crafting bases, crafting them and
recycling what doesn't turn out well.

the total quantity of currency required is waaaay lower,
but the quantity of crafting attempts must be waaaay higher.

So much misinformation in this topic, mind boggles.
Chasing very rare drops has never been the main source of income either in poe1 or 2, this is just a cherry on top if you happen to get something valuable once in a blue moon.

The way to farm currency in casino games like this is through deterministic farms. You identify what is in higher demand than the supply can realistically keep up with and you focus on efficiently farming that.

This league it is anything that does not drop in the temple.

Omens of light can be target farmed, rituals can be rerolled 8-9 times per map with proper tablet setup.
Essences can be target farmed - you can roll them on your tablets.
You can do something as simple as running logbooks for runic splinters, one can yield ~200 if you set up your detonation chain properly.

Yes, there is an order of magnitude less options compared to poe1, but that is going to be the case for eternity - since for whatever reason - they decided to reskin the same game minus 10+ years of content.
My point is that the amount of currency you need to work with is lower
now, but the bases you require to get a result is higher.

nothing to do with how to get curency, just skipping towards
what its used for aside from trading. this whole game seems to be encouraging
crafting constantly over seeking currency to trade for what someone
else crafted for you.

im new is that a wrong interpretation? i see so much less currency,
but only a few ways to apply it to one item. so apply it to a lot
of items. is that not a reasonable perspective? poe1 it was get a million
chaos orbs, trade it for a few thousand divs, then get your mirror gear.

here? you kinda gotta make it no?
Just for information purposes I ran 10 maps using 3 tablets that gave an extra essence. I ran powerful map boss areas to add a 4th guaranteed essence.

Over the 10 maps I didn't get the doubling effect of precursor tablets at all during my test. (really unlucky)

In total after the 10 maps I ended up with 127 random essence drops.
Lowest total in a map was 8 and the highest was 18.

I bought the tablets at magic rarity for 1 exalt each and and spent another 3 regal and 3 exalt upgrading them to full.

Now obviously you are always going to be depending on luck with how valuable the essences you are given are but averaging almost 13 essence a map is going to almost certainly get you more than you invest at the current prices.

Combining 2 tablets and boss modifier for 3 essences guaranteed with an abyss tablet might be a more profitable for the abyss essences. Also abysses power up depending on the number of modifiers you feed them, I did get an omen of light and an abyssal echo from an abyss I powered up with a 7 item essence.
