Making level 100 rewarding
Hi there, not sure if this was raised by someone else before but I think it is great if levelling to 100 can be rewarding.
Many players burnout even before level 96, and only do it for a sense of accomplishment or league rewards. Hopefully we can have some meaningful reward on reaching level 100, something that is independent to which ever ascendancy we chose. For example upon reaching level 100, Champion gets +5% global defence and 2% more melee damage Elementalist gets +1% max elemental resistance and +3% elemental penetration Juggernaut gets +2% reduced damage taken something like that.. Small buff but meaningful and rewarding to reach level 100. Thanks Last bumped on Sep 12, 2025, 7:18:17 AM

No, level 100 isn't really something anyone wants, it just another badge to say "look at me i done this", it dose not need a special pat on the head or reward.

Some more passive Points would be cool as a reward.

There is a reward.
You get a passive point You get some base stat points You get the tic mark on the league challenge “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

" Exactly, this is what I meant. It isn't something anyone pursues because it is not exciting or rewarding to make the effort |

if you make it rewarding then people will feel entitled to have it, they will feel like they need it and thats not what lvl100 has ever been for in poe.
different people want to play different amounts, but level 100 sets a forced end point for almost everyone. what i mean is most people will not play a lvl100 character because the reward structure of getting xp is the most basic reward structure in the game, that breaks down at lvl100. so the idea i believe is make lvl100 a really long slog with no significant power reward, that way people who want to play for 100s of hours have a reason to keep playing, keep getting xp, and those who dont can tap out at 98, 95, 90, and not feel like theyre missing out on some significant boost. if you give it power like an ascenandcy then people will feel they have to have it and that means you have to balance it around most people getting it which means a casual player can get to lvl100 and a dedicated player will get there so quickly and be finished that you are cutting the experience short for them. they want to play and keep getting xp for 100 hours and youve stopped them at 20 hours, cut off their xp, cut off their most basic motivation to keep playing the character. the game ends at max level, thats the structure, its not a game begins at max level game which is what you turn it into if you make lvl100 have this significant power reward. D3/4 were game starts at max level games and they followed thank thinking, got forced to let the game be balanced so a journeyman player can hit max level from nothing in a few hours then had to make another progression system (paragon) that starts at max level because the games reward structure broke down when xp was no longer involved. so they gave you max level and then had to make it so max level wasnt max level because the idea fundamentally doesnt work. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Level 100 is already rewarding.
You get all of your character's passive tree potential. I always level to 100 because I like to min-max my characters. Min-maxing is the reward. A sense of completion. |

" You get the same stat and skill point for the previous 99 levels. It's like saying you should get the same pay increment when you reach CEO level just like your pay increment from engineer to senior engineer |

" Pay increments in jobs primarily correlate to increased responsibility and knowledge, not grind time. Think before you post. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
