character keep committing suicide

my character keeps committing suicide, i can't cross half the map without it happening. it's not a flask issue or a side effect of a skill or gem, just keeps committing suicide out of the blue. sometimes it looks like i took damage but not kill me and all of a sudden dead, sometimes no one is near me and i just die and it'll say character committed suicide.

separate issue but maybe not, i keep having these audio glitches too

Characters do not arbitrarily die for no reason.

If this is affecting one of your Path of Exile 1 characters (you posted in a PoE 1 forum section), change your acocunt's privacy settings so people can view your characters tab and someone will explain what's causing your character's deaths.

its in POE2 my bad, and there definitely isn't a reason, it wasn't doing that last week and i haven't changed my support gems or skill gems, my flasks don't have any effects like that, just keep committing suicide out of the blue

Whuch unique items does your character have equipped?

i just checked all my items and skill nodes, nothing about committing suicide or health getting drained or anything. same for items i checked every single mod on each item and there's nothing that would explain why i 'commit suicide' out of nowhere

i am playing a chaos witch, not using anything that generates volatility, skill, gems or items. i just went back and checked to be sure but yeah no volatility nodes on the skill tree, no items or skills or gems that generate volatility or drain health.
it just started happening out of the blue a few days ago, that along with some audio issues. but the dying is the worst part. can't cross the map without 'committing suicide' even when i don't use skills at all and just try to sprint through the map. it wasn't doing any of that a few days ago, i'm on PS5 btw

Do you have Event Horizon allocated, perhaps?

i wish it were that simple, no i don't have it allocated, i'm not using any nodes, items, gems etc nothing that drains hp

which is why its frustrating, there really isn't a reason mechanic wise that should have me committing suicide repetitively like that, even without using any skills and just sprinting through it happens

Unfortunately until they add characters to website profiles, there is no way for us to view your character without third party or a lot of screenshots.

If you use Path of Building, generating a link from that might be the easiest to see the full scope of your character and hope the third party doesn't miss any random supports or passives.

My first suspicion since you said Chaos Witch (I'm assuming Lich), is Ascendancies. If you take Soulless Form as CI without Eternal Life ascendancy, you'll probably have a bad time.

Beyond that though, it could be some jewels that convert mana cost into life cost and with CI, also death. The list goes on though, and we're going to be playing 300 questions, hence why I recommend a PoB export, some other character exporter link, or a whole lot of screenshots to try to isolate what is causing it (at least until GGG adds website viewing, but who knows when that will be).

yeah no i haven't done the trials yet so no ascendencies, i don't have any jewels socketed and i thoroughly checked all my passives, nothing's changed from last week when i was playing the same character, same everything and it was fine, i really don't think it's got to do with my build or items
i'm thinking of just deleting this character and starting over kinda annoying but i'm not sure what else to do i'm just happy i wasn't that far into the game yet so it's not too painful, and hopefully it won't happen again when i get to that map again

Have you allocated "Heavy Buffer" notable at the top middle of witch tree?
