SCRIPTED ONE SHOTS THAT REQUIRE PRIOR KNOWLEDGE TO AVOID

and no you can't have ship explosion resist, there's a boss that can drop buildings on you and it's not clear where to stand to be safe and no you can't have enough life to survive that.

If you think one shots are cool and make fights epic or whatever at least find a way to warn the player of them.

Your character is literally saying "I should get off the ship, before it explodes!". The fuse is like 20s long. Maybe pay attention to the game, instead of watching TV and playing on the side. Kek.

I honestly didn't realize that could kill you... it seemed pretty obvious that I need to get off the ship so I didn't find out what happens when you stay there.
Benedictus is annoying AF tbh - could be a fun boss if they toned down all the one-shot garbage.

So yeah, IF there's a hard-scripted death event ahead and I need to know of it beforehand to avoid it, then give me said knowledge. It's the game's job I think to do it, not some third party website's.

So much mimimi, just because it's literally your fault? Be honest, even if they had a list with one-shots, you wouldn't have read it. Just like the patchnotes.
Maybe don't create HC character if you don't have perfect knowledge about game? I know it's pretty wild suggestion but trust me or not, it will save you alot of struggle.

What?!?!?!? Don't play the mode designed specifically for the most knowledgeable players in the game if you don't have good knowledge of the game? Blasphemy!
Hardcore isn't for the 'knowledgeable'. It didn't ask me to pass a poe trivia test. It's the same difficulty as softcore actually.

So if I played softcore nothing would've changed. I'd still have died to a bullshit one shot and the thread would still exist. You shouldn't have to know about how to avoid a scripted death beforehand and which of the explosions or fallen rocks cause it and which of them cause the usual damage (as opposed to straight up death), to actually avoid it. It's just dumb and hardcore doesn't have anything to do with it.

Dear GGG,
when you create a hardcore character

Run away from anything you don't understand.
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

Yeah man actually that's how I ripped. I ran away from an unknown danger, little did I know that he drops the towers on the edges of the arena. Silly me, right?

Wait, that fight? I did the same thing -- ran to the edge and got slammed. But I didn't die. I had roughly 950 life, 910 ES, 28% evasion and a bit of deflection. And I beat Benedictus first try, no deaths. How does that compare to your stats?

Yep and next time you did not stand under falling rubble right? That's how learning works. I know it's shocking but in some games you still need to learn things hard way.
