In my opinion you inadvertently created worst trade system ever.

People buying items aren't all able to identify what is worth to sell. Like, i have no clue what items monks wants. I never take 2H masses because it takes too much space in inventory (and i'm also not sure what a good mace is).

Most people know only their class item. So more buyers, but not much more sellers because lack of knowledge.

Now that is concerning.
Are you saying people are simply sitting on items because they are afraid to not be right about the price?

You can read it like this, ye, but it's more "i don't like to manage my inventory. I haven't 500000 stashes. I don't really know what is valuable. Let's just take what i know, because managing inventory, stash, price check is tedious and i just want to play."

That must be something very unique to Poe2 alone. _shrug_
No lol, i'm playing poe since the first beta. Good players think everyone can play like them or are equally addicted to the game with 50 000 stashes and crafting obessions. But no, there is a lot of players that just can't engage with build, craft, trade, etc.

That strongly smells like you accusing me of elitism or worse.

Either way we are off subject.

Back to it. 200k people with 150 item listings.

Thats ultimate low , ever.
imo

- different audience to poe1
- pricing items is not easy (most people don't use an external addon)
- overall game knowledge is low (new players)
- economy is fucked
- expanded crafting (a lot easier to make powerful 3-4 mods)

For me even in poe1 i struggle to know how to sell and price things, and most items are not worth picking up. Poe2 has a greater feeling of "this maybe 1ex item isn't worth trying to sell", even with the vendor shop i am finding no sales for dirt cheap good mod items.

Kinda debating just not listing anything till i am getting drops that are worth something.

Nah, it's not personnal, it's about the vision good players have about the game that is not connected to the average poe endgame players experience.

Now there u have nailed another issue.
Spot on.

Poe1 had established value system.
Chaos is currency that is used for startup items, traded, bought with, sold off.
All around currency.

But here, exalt and chaos are fluctuating so much that u simply cant establish low quality items base price.

What seems like few exalt price, ended up being super expensive, because 1 divine is 60 exalts and less.

At start chaos was triple the price of exalt and now they are almost equal
And poe2 is super strict with currency drops, divines dont start to drop until you are level 90. So..

I had to eliminate items
"this could be used for some newb for leveling"
or
"good 3 stat bit lowish resist item but missing X/Y"

because those simply dont sell at all any more in poe2.

And potential for crafting with abyss was deleted easily. Because of the nerf in abyss currency drops.

It jumped so high in value that it exceeds divines. That is now pure luxury

WTF are you on about? I have 5 raw divine drops and no where near level 90.
