And besides, 3.26 was more like a true expansion, expecting 3.27 to just be a league mechanic with little else updated in the game other than balance and tuning.

I feel like they've made this exact same promise before, but I can't remember when. Grudges are like a blackhole inside and eat at you, so I try to let things go. But this particular point sticks out to me.

They have, and not only a "few" times....

They stated it when PoE 2 was announced in 2019. They stated it when PoE 2 was revealed to be its own game. They stated it when PoE 2 beta was set to release. They stated it early during the delay. They stated it AGAIN later during the delay lol. I'm sure they must have explicitly made that promise in more than one interview between 2019 and 2024 as well. It has been their biggest "promise" to PoE 1-dedicated players throughout this entire journey.

It is very clear that GGG as a company simply had no idea what it would take to run two games. And they STILL don't. While they are better positioned (or we assume they are) to keep their promises now, there is no history or track record to lean on that offers any credibility to any promise of development.


It's as you said: don't think about it at all. Just wait for an announcement and that will be your confirmation. Don't try to predict anything before its official, because that is just an exercise in futility and frustration.

Yea man, I can get behind this.....they should have just removed the buff aspect, not the totems themselves. Ancestral totem niche builds were pretty fun for a time.

Hopefully not. I’d like to see the new league start in Dec.

They will manage mid/late october to then follow up after 4 months with a late feburary poe1 league.
