Not really yet, he hasnt given any of us a reason to trust him.

But at the same time, I doubt they want to derail any goodwill they built with their 4 month timeline promise.

And besides, 3.26 was more like a true expansion, expecting 3.27 to just be a league mechanic with little else updated in the game other than balance and tuning.

I think, at least for the next cycle or 2, we will see the promise met, potentially at the cost of content quality/stability

I agree with this. Obviously they want to finish things they need to push out and thus the delay of 0.3. Really depends on how many people were still working on poe1 throughout. Want to point out that 3.25 was made by a small crew and that was a great season. (even if it was out for too long due to poe2) Just depends on how many were working on it.

I would say late October early November on the positive side of things.

I think so too. Jonathan and Mark explicitly said that they will prioritize the "new" 4 month cycle over developing new / additional features and content.

They already kind of broke that promise with PoE 2 0.3 (if they had adhered to the "4 month rule", 0.3 should have released like 3 weeks earlier), but I'm confident that they'll at least try to stay as close to a 4 month cycle as possible. As long as we get quality content, I'm fine with small-ish delays.

I hope they keep Mercs till atleast mid December. The quality of future content and deliverables needs to be prioritized above all else, especially now with their double work load of servicing 2 big games. Past few years has had disappointing league designs with their 4 month cycle. PoE has just so much content to play that 6-12 month cycles would work pefectly fine.

Ah....how quickly we forget everything that led to that "promise" hehe. And the fact that the SAME PROMISE was made many times before the actual release of the PoE 2 beta... They made endless promises throughout 2024 and broke each and every one, burning oodles of goodwill every time. Even before that, since around the time they reneged nearly everything they had been describing PoE 2 as for YEARS.....they have been making empty promises and going back on them repeatedly.

While I hope for the best, the realist in me has seen the track record since 2019/2020 and the odds are certainly not in our favor.

Based on Settlers, I would expect (and be fine with) another 1 to 2 month Phrecia alternate ascendancy Mercenaries league.
