Looking for fair and honest oppinions on Current state of game

The campaign is still a 20+ hour suffocating slogfest.
Each time you want a new character to try a new build, you have to do this torture again.
If you want to play poe2 on league start - you're basically throwing away your weekends.
Sprint is just a bandaid. Real problem is GGG gaslighting themselves to make 60h campaign that no one asked for.

Best version of POE2 so far. Much better combat than other ARPGs. Far too easy, though, but better than the rest of the genre.

The balance is unacceptable and having to wait 4-6 months for them to MAYBE add another playable build is not how an early access should be ran.
You should have really prefaced your question that people had to put what they are playing in their response. If they are one of the 41% of the player base on Deadeye, or the 11% on lich then they think the game is fine. Everyone else got major nerfs to where they are not even as good as they were after the first nerfagedon.

The game is bad unless you are meta builds, and even then, it's not that good. OFC they are deadset on Friday launches, ensuring no one is around to make adjustments over a long holiday, beyond bug fixes.
Probably the worst launch so far, balance wise.
The content that was added is amazing, great and all. No, seriously. The new act is nice, the new league is nice.

But the balance is, to quote that one streamer, dogshit.
They said they're buffing all classes, but they buffed monsters instead. And it's a slog, it's way too hard and it's grindy af.

How the hell are they doing this every single leaguestart is beyond me.

I also work 40 hours a week (more or less depends on the need). I am also not casual but I'm relatively new to PoE 2 with my 1 month experience.

It's Sunday morning now since the 0.3 was activated, I have beaten Act 4 and have decent gear by the time I start mapping. All my resistances are capped with 30% on chaos too.

SOLO player on a controller. I don't find the game slow and not having any difficulty surviving. Yes, if we compared this to D4, it's slower for sure but I find it more satisfying.

But the fact I reached early game mapping in less than 48 hours, I think that's fast enough for someone who has no experience in PoE 2. I had one league experience in PoE 1 but I am mostly D4 hardcore player. Folks who have experienced in 0.1, 0.2, and PoE 1 should do far better than me. BUT I also believe just because someone has more experience doesn't also mean they are better. FACT OF LIFE sorry.

end game may be not that slow. campaign is

I think you are using Standard league character, not levelling up one in new Abyss league, right?

or have you doced how long you spend in campaign , until reaching mapping?

I'm on Abyss league, 0.3 - the one where you drop stuff in the Well of whatever and where you get to pick random 3 mods. Just broke my leveling weapon from 125-215 dmg to 75-120 via Vaal ... ouch. I think I spend a day but definitely less than 48 hours.

GGG seems to be focusing on a more deliberate pace, which encourages more thoughtful gameplay, and I love it.
I never liked Path of Exile 1 is that matters.

Act 4 have been great, i really enjoyed the boss fights.

The new sprint mechanic also feels great but could need some tweaking.

Class balance could be better for sure, just don't listen to all the meta slaves, they will never enjoy the game.

Overall, this patch feels great so far, in my opinion.

It just seems like Path of Exile 1 players can't get over the fact that they have to use more than 1 button to play.

And I believe you are wrong with that blanket statement. Lots of PoE1 player enjoy 2 and 3 or even 4 button builds. What they don't like is the way GG has designed PoE2 it is agonizingly slow to do so and the mobs are still PoE1 speeds. And for me the campaign areas are just to boring to grind over and over again for gear. Thankfully I was able to work around the errors with the old trade method and buy a weapon upgrade with my lucky Alch and Exalt drops.
Spoiler
Game is better than 0.2 but still not POE 1, i didn't even find will to play..act 4 and i'm done.

Besides that GGG has promissed never make a stash tab for league specific content and all our stash tabs from poe 1 working on poe 2, and yet they release socketable and ritual tabs..

Feeling betrayed honestly

edit: I was just not feeling like playing, now i'm finishing the campaign and having a great time. Nothing to complain about other than build diversity.

The worst part for me is coming out of story and starting maps.
If not on a meta build and having bad luck the first day will feel absolutely horrible.

Also the grind for second character is an absolute no go. Even if you throw some D at the problem and oneshot everything it is still a slog.

I have played 0.1 and 0.2 quite a bit, and always felt the game in general to be a bit too slow for my taste. Especially the flow of progression in early 'seasons' was, for my taste, just to sluggish and i am not the biggest fan of having to try bosses 15 times and grind for hours to be able to get past certain points.
I am probably not a 'casual', but i simply work 40 hours+ a week and have other things that take my time away, so i barely have one, max 2 hours a day for gaming, and i also play other games.

Now, im debating if i should give 0.3 a try, but i did read some concerning info that for a lot of builds the killspeed is extremely slow and that we are back to white mobs being hp sponges.

Dont get me wrong, i love POE in general, i just want to know if it is worth it to sink the little time i have into it.

If you want honest opinions don't come here or reddit. The game is spectacular, however this place is filled with mostly alt/troll accounts and no lifers that make it their sole duty to spew negativity on here all day every day. Take a look at the post history, the lack of POE history on their character page, the usual none or 1 supporter pack....yet they spend 10 hours a day on here posting their cry on every post they can.

Play it, learn it. If you do it's easily one of the most enjoyable and rewarding ARPG experiences of all time. Also at the end of the day maybe it's just not for you, in which case that's why every other ARPG out there is exactly the same outside of this one. You got like 5-6 choices between POE1, LE, GD, D4, TL for THAT game experience.

People watch streamers, hear you can only play Deadeye, don't learn the game at all, and then come here to be petulant when they don't understand anything.

I got a Smith of Kitava halfway through A4 and a Monk to the interludes. You don't need meta anything, you need game system and mechanical knowledge/experience. These people in act 1 that come here to cry almost assuredly don't use the 1-2 exalts they've dropped to upgrade their weapon, which 99.9% of the time is enough to carry you for another 10 levels.
