What's the point of the early game being such a slog?
why does GGG have an obssession with making skills only good if you use them with power frenzy or endurance charges?

I found the campaign to be way to easy with 0.3

" Could be. Depends on how quick they adapt to the game and how much time they have to play. My first character was about to the end of Act 2... then I'm like "but I want to try..." and that's why I don't ever worry about progression. At some point I'm going to decide this other build I'm curious about needs to be a thing and I'll be starting another character. Personally I've always liked the campaign so it has never seemed excruciating to me. Certainly some of the weapons aren't as enjoyable at first for sure. Difficulty in early game really depends on the class. With a monk was a nightmare, started again with a ranger and it's been a breeze, but i have the feeling that it would have been the same with another ranged class.
To me, they relly need to rebalance the early melee system, buffing the damage of the starting kit or tuning better the monster melee damage |

I have a feeling bows, spears, and ED+Contagion are like playing an entirely different game (through the campaign), compared to some weaker alternatives. People talking about the game being hard or easy, without going into detail about exactly what they're playing, aren't really giving GGG a whole lot of information to work with, although I assume they have their own internal metrics to analyze.

So, did the praetor boss at the first try with the ranger with no problems whatsoever, while took me several attempts with the monk. People who say that's easy should specify what classes they are playing

Been playing POE for 14 years. Barely was able to complete act2 while following a build guide on an elementalist. Took me 20 tries to kill A2 boss. These guys need to get a clue, they have a great game but it shouldnt be this damn hard for someone who has a played the game forever, good luck newbies, you gonna quit before you kill the worm.
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

Campaign is at least 3 times easier now than it was in 0.2.0...
If you are struggling even in campaign - than it is not the game but you are the reason. I play Stormweaver and do all the bosses from the 1st attempt with just on-go items. PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
