Thanks for the suggestion- I’ll look into that. I’ve tried fortress and citadel this league, and both have tons of aoe action slow stacking - had me worrying it was all t17 bosses. I honestly just really want that extra device slot…
I knew about Jugg - and was seriously thinking about my next char being immune to slows. Guess I need to do research on how to protect from action speed debuff…
I appreciate the helpful suggestions!

If the game is balanced around that level of skill and knowledge, I am never going to be able to do all the content, and that is frustrating.
I think if you even reach the level, when you can clear most t17 without problem, you already above 80% of players, if not more. Especially if you not mindlessly copy paste other build. So there is no point in frustration.
Hard cheaty bosses, that can be killed only by 1% of players exists in many games. I am not defending it, but i think it not so terrible.

Super late to the party and not interested in the side conversations going on, but in case it hasn't been said: the channelled spinning black beam and the parallel lasers apply a stacking "less action speed" debuff (not chill or freeze, but they feel the same to the player so it's an easy mistake to make).
It's incredibly important to dodge those attacks, especially the black beam; the key to the (edit: Uhtred) fight is staying very close to him so you can circle behind him when he starts using that ability. Treat it the way you would fight Act 4 Piety if you had little to no lightning resistance.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, nor am I spewing hate or toxicity just for the sake of it - but I can't be the only one that is tired of the super-elitist gatekeeping mentality at the top of GGG? Mark said it himself - he prefers to have a 1000% percent difference in reward between the top 1% and the average endgame player. So he, and ~ maybe 1000 other players who are THAT good get showered with loot and currency - while everyone else is kinda screwed.
I just died 5 times in a row to Uhtred in a T17 citadel map. No crazy mods (was actually really lucky on the mods) - but I am not a bullet hell master - I suck at them. I loathe being forced to interact with bullet hell mechanics - I simply don't have the reaction speed and nerves required for them. I am 46 years old - I'll never have those reflexes. Practice has absolutely nothing to do with it. I've been gaming for 40 years, I'm as good (in general) as I'm going to get. It is infuriating that they design bosses with lightning fast wide-area attacks that are incredibly difficult to dodge AND they lower your resists, stun you, freeze you (even when freeze immune) and make it so that every hit substantially reduces your chances of recovering or surviving - so that after 2-3 hits, you are almost guaranteed to die.
(Stats-wise - I have about 140k ehp, 10-12m dps, res: 78/79/78/75, 6.5k life. 1000~ regen and a fair amount of phys as ele defensive conversion))
In a game that is all about build diversity and playing it the way you want - why does all top tier content have to come down to "be a micro god or suck it, scrub."? The whole attitude reeks of a toxic elitist gamer mentality, and is incredibly frustrating. I understand that a certain type of player wants the game to be "hard" - the challenge is what makes it fun for them. But lets be real - if you are in the top 1% - this game is NOT hard for you - you can make such game breaking builds that you melt everything 3 screen lengths away. Your challenge has to come from somewhere else - hardcore mode, SSF, ruthless - etc. If the game is balanced around that level of skill and knowledge, I am never going to be able to do all the content, and that is frustrating.
Am I missing something obvious? Other than faster reflexes (which I really can't do anything about) is there something that makes these bosses with aoe action-speed lowering attacks manageable?
tldr, but ye i read the old part with reactionshpeed i feel this to hard..., i got bad muscles and a nerve disease, when pple say "just dodge" bro..., can we just get a realistic DOABLE speed to react to and not blink and die cuz the mechanic is SO FAST?!?!?!

I 100% feel you there. The spinning thing I could have managed by being close to him, as someone else mentioned - but I just flat out don't have the reaction speed to see the giant aoe of criss-crossing lasers, and move to a location that is safe ESPECIALLY if I'm already slowed by previous hits.
I REALLY wish this game had wasd movement and mouse and keyboard, the way Last Epoch does it. It is SUCH a quality of life feature. Seriously tho - I'm more than a little frustrated that they aren't willing to port wasd movement over - as I can manage dodging a TON better if I don't have to visually track my character, the mouse pointer, and the attack - and move the mouse and click on the correct spot, with aoe's all over the screen, all in a fraction of a second.
But then, I don't know how PoE was coded, it might be something ridiculously complicated to work in at this point, despite seeming simple from the outside.

I don't think implementing WASD is that hard, especially since there's already Controler support, which plays very similar. They just don't want to waste development time right now I think.
Having said that, did u try using controler? I tested it on my Steamdeck the other day and it played really well. I'm playing a totem build tho, so it might be different for actual attack or self cast builds.
As for the Citadel map, most people just skip this map. Fortress is much easier to do for ur map device slot. Abomination is ok aswell, depending on ur build.
