Valdo/voidborn is the reason why boss kill is dead
" Making more items account bound and reworking loot around that wouldn’t hurt PoE, it’d actually make it healthier. Tons of great BiS off meta build items don’t exist on the market because they’re not profitable to craft or farm, which reinforces the idea that “meta” is the only viable way to play. Getting BiS for a niche build often isn’t about grinding more, it’s about how much tedium you're willing to endure through crafting RNG or trade simulator just to play the game your way. Account-bound items could be more accessible and not balanced around market rarity, making progression smoother and more engaging. We’ve seen this approach work in other games. But yeah, it likely won’t happen because of the eternal Diablo 2 vision of friction and trading. But hey, now that CW is gone and working on his own new Diablo 2-inspired game, maybe, just maybe it’s time to let go of this two-decade-old, outdated meme and move toward something more modern and fun for everyone. Last Epoch is already showing how it can be done, offering a healthier gameplay loop for both solo grinders and trade player, coexisting in harmony without putting certain outcomes behind totally unrealistic chances for one or another. You can make Valdo much less often, about 10-20 times.

" Then learn to craft yourself. [Remove by Support] How could you even craft or learn it? The funniest part is, your build ideas are maybe so bad you actually need mirror tier crafts to play the game. But the only thing accomplished with easy to get items like in your idea, is power creep. Suddenly ggg will need to balance the game around mirror tier gear and almost all casuals are forced out of trade leagues because they cannot compete anymore. Last epochs way is... meh. That's quite the essence of that game really. If its so good what are you still doing here by the way? " how about not doing that? Lets be frank, I'm pretty sure you overall agenda here is either to push uber loot prices because you're a farmer or fragment prices, because... well, you're a farmer. You don't care about game health/balance whatever, you care about profit ;) Current Build: Penance Brand God build?! https://pobb.in/bO32dZtLjji5 Last edited by Sian_GGG#0000 on Jul 13, 2025, 2:29:45 AM

+1 for account bound in favor of less tedium
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |

" The game is about farming and trading. I'm a trade league player, that's kind of obvious. I don't care about the health/balance of the ssf league at all, that's true. Right now the state of the content I like is disgusting. That's all. Last edited by Rassomaxa69#5346 on Jul 10, 2025, 7:01:02 AM

" Killing an uber boss is easier than getting a key tbh. |

" According to who, exactly? You? Just so we’re clear, I do play the game, and I do know how crafting works. What I was referring to is the part where you end up spending a huge chunk of your stash chasing a 1-in-several-hundred chance to finish a single item with very specific stats for an off-meta build. Since most players follow whatever build is popular at the moment, those items are rarely crafted or available on trade. If something close does drop, it’s often hoarded or never listed. And I’m not even talking about mirror-tier gear—those odds are even tougher. I mean relatively basic pieces that, because of the low odds, can easily cost several hundred divines to obtain. Are those items strictly required? No. But should it be nearly impossible to get them if someone wants to min-max a less popular build? That’s where crafting stops feeling like a skillful system and starts feeling more like a slot machine. There’s a difference between crafting and pure RNG grind. As for the Last Epoch comment, people can enjoy multiple games at once. It’s perfectly fine. According to whom exactly do we have to dedicate all our time to a single game to have a valid opinion? You? I don’t think so. It’s not necessary to put all your eggs in one basket to partake in a discussion around a game :) Windows 11, 9950X3D, RTX 4090, 96GB DDR5, 14,100 MB/s SSD, 15,360x2160p @240Hz Ultra 4K Gaming & Workspace Powerhouse Last edited by Sian_GGG#0000 on Jul 13, 2025, 2:30:40 AM
