What do yall play during these DDoS
" Nope. It's been like this for years. As far back as I can remember their servers have been an issue. |

" the only one contributing to the question at hand LOL thank you ! How is Last Epoch? i dabbled a little bit t release but got swallowed up by PoE haha |

Last Epoch is in the same league as D3 and D4. If that is what you enjoy (besides PoE) then it's good. Most PoE players don't tend to like LE.

" Ive disconnected from Washington about 45 times today, the times it doesnt boot me ping ranges from 25-infinite. |

EU servers are unplayable again. I don't believe one bit that this is a DDOS.

You can tell it isn't DDOS, 'cause the server never really goes down. You can instantly access it a second after you're connected due to MS Network spikes.
And if you start getting spikes and get out of the zone, the lags disappears. It's clearly their extremely bad servers in Europe they do not bother fixing or setting up at a real actual host. It also disconnects and lags not everyone, but a set number (between 5 and 6k) at a time. And the rest are unaffected for some times. It's a server caching issue/memory dump/writing error in the servers. |

I suffer an embarrassment of riches in terms of Path of Exile gateways.
Living in Ireland;
I'm not accusing each and every one of these of being ideal - but it is extremely rare that they will all be unplayable at the same time. So I usually just hop around until I find something serviceable. I'm working on something for the PoE community! 👀

" Except for when you get disconnected and then immediately placed in a queue because... y'know? " "You can tell a server isn't getting DDoS'd because moving to a new one makes the problem go away." " The DDoS affects individual servers at one time. Whoever it is doesn't have the resources to bring down an entire data centre; hence, some people affected, some people not affected. Also, they've said in the past they use identical hardware in all regions and there's no reason not to take them on their word - most companies would do so, as it simplifies things on their end. They are very obviously using the same software stack in all regions, so... " Thanks for skimming a Wikipedia article or having ChatGPT regurgitate nonsense for you and then speaking authoritatively on the subject. Just as an FYI, nothing you said makes any sense. I'm working on something for the PoE community! 👀

" This could be mitigated. Once a ddos on specific IP is detected, mark the server as ddosed in load balancer and cease creation of instances on it. Maybe even migrate instances on another server, so they aren't lost (yes the player will see some lags but it is better than losing whole map and loot). Let the ddoser attack the empty server. |

But as far as I see this only happens on peak online.
DDoS should work 24/7. If someone can fund DDoS for many months, he sure can do that 24/7. I feel it just parties farm things like Blightheart and servers can't handle it. And those players are legit, GGG can't ban them for playing intended way. Last edited by Hornsent#1110 on Jun 26, 2025, 9:33:23 AM
