POE is not the only online game that exist with EU/SIN servers - and the rerouting would cause slightly higher ping, as it did in some instances in other games in the past. The situation now is servers apparently choking every 20-30 mintues, crashing all the existing instances and rolling back to the state from before. And this seems to happen to all EU gateways, Singapore gateway and possibly few others?

Maybe you could elaborate on this but I don't think this is the reason you mention?


I don't recognize the picture you're painting, this isn't my experience at all, for me 'Crashes' are nothing like "every 20-30" minutes, there's no pattern I can see and frankly I can't say I can say I've seen ANY server crashes in the last 24 hours, but I've had many DCs: I don't see how a player can say they were DCed by a server 'crash' or a DC from a network failure, in PoE1 the result is the same, the character loads back in to a hub and loses the zone instance; oh, an I've never been 'rolled back' though I don't claim that isn't possible but I expect it's very rare.

So this is what I'm seeing from Manchester,England, using the London gateway:

1) Log in and play normally, Latency shows typicall 8-15 in the hub I load into.
2) When I exit the hub into a zone, any zone one of two things will happen:
a) Latency stays around 10
or b) Latency spikes of over 200ms happen every second or two.

If I get into state (b) a DC is almost guaranteed some time, up to a couple of minutes later.

This can happen and any zone transition, I can be playing in state (a) for many, many minutes but the moment I zone I can get into state (b) immediately.

When in state (n) the video stutters and the sound drops perfectly in sync with the 200+ms Latency spike.

Sever crashes have happened which I'm in either state.

I understand that technical issues can happen, especially during a league launch, but the silence and lack of updates make the situation even more frustrating for the community.

I strongly encourage you to hire a dedicated Community Manager who can keep us informed, relay our concerns, and help maintain morale during these tough times. A bit more transparency and regular updates would go a long way to uncovering the real secrets behind the Atlas—and reassure your loyal players!

This entire league so far, has been one of the most problematic I have ever seen.
Your servers, crash every 5 minutes.
Progress is NOT SAVED!!!!! So not only do we crash and redo some of the most boring content in your game (Acts) but we don't even get to keep the experience points from it?

The mechanic? Interesting, pity the only thing working is the bells and whistle and not the actual servers the game is reliant on.
EU server = path of crash every few minute with rollback
ASIA server = path of crash with lag + rollback
US server = path of lag with insane ping

Awesome league start with a year of preparation you are doing very well !
