A minimal-dev time solution for decoupling class from gender

This game is falling apart, having so many issues, I just don't think this should be prioritized at all. If some people are leaving because of this, it has to be an extremely low amount of people (maybe 3 people total) that currently play this game.
It hurts me in this way: the game is in a really bad state, there are so many things need to be fixed, if the devs spend their time on political correctness, these things won't be fixed asap.
I have gender war fatigue, father...

I agree. I doubt the OP can even find a single person who refused to play PoE2 because of genderlock.

The only difference between classes is the intro area, ascendancies and the starting points on the passive tree. What OP was asking for is already sort of in the game.

I prefer they stick with what is already planned.
This is path of exile not path of gender identity

Currently, GGG is alienating significant number of potential players by coupling gender to class. While you might stereotypically assume most femme players want to play mages and most masc players want to play warriors, individuals aren't statistics.

This is an assumption, not based on facts. Please do not insert your identity politics into this game. It's boring and most normal people really don't give a crap.

Well.. I'm a straight man who likes to play spell casters so... yeah, don't care, witch is awesome and has some of the best voice lines out of all of the classes *BOOM*
No thank you. Though I don't agree the op is worried about Gender issues, I do think making extra data sets just for gender is dumb.

Look at d4. The game takes forever to load another player just because of transmogs, gender, facial expressions, etc.

I would rather see more performance for making zone maps flow together seamlessly. Instant ports to home or to other areas for that matter.

Who cares if the Huntress is a woman or one of the other characters is a dude? Seriously. You're playing this game for the sweet divine orb drop sound.
I will never understand how this is a perceived issue in a game like this. These are all curated characters designed to be exactly as they are. It's not like this is some in-depth RPG where you actually have agency over who/what your character is outside of choosing which class to build on. What is it about modern gamers that necessitates them needing to be able to personally relate to every game character they play? Games are for escape, not affirmation.

Just throw on any number of MTX that completely covers your character and start blasting.
No thanks. Hard pass.
