build diversity and options.. we need it

its clear that next league will be mainly focused on champion

why would u powerup so much a class in comparison with the others?

im not asking to nerf champion, but why not make classes power more in line?

League start champ then. Post pob once you got all your fort stacking gear.

People tend to play whatever has the most accessible guide for it or whatever their favorite streamer plays and champion only has a tiny amount of guides right now.

We'll likely see an absurd amount of volcanic fissure beserkers instead.

As for build diversity, even if we only look at builds with full guides there's a LOT to pick from already.

Eighty percent of the players I know are starting volcanic fissure berserker. It's guaranteed to be the build which wins the boss race, because you pass 10M DPS on a 5L with gear you can find in the campaign.

But please, tell us more about how OP you think Champion is with specific ultra rare replica uniques XD

I have barely seen anyone mention champion in top builds at the moment. A couple honorable mentions but not this overwhelming overtake of every other class.

Berserker will probably be the most played ascendancy from the looks of it. I don't see 80% though, not everybody likes slams/melee.

Also, that is very fair, Berserker was the black sheep for a long time. Now it's Berserker time again.

Champion could be a very strong choice aswell no question about it, there is some potential that champ will be op, but people saying "oh wait that involves costly items you won't get on league start"

Game changes are mostly shake ups so the game stays fresh and the motivation to restart is there. There is no final state where everything is perfectly balanced ;P

I dunno about you but I'm leaguestarting my same Hierophant zhp glass cannon totem build and farming some bosseeeeees. Especially now that we don't lose exp in pinnacles anymore, its gonna be so fun to corpse-rush them and print some divs. Can't wait.

The only reason berserker will win the race is that's what bens probably playing for it.

Vf of snaking is my favorite zerker build at the moment. Its nice to have a build for your ascendancy of choice that doesnt feel like crap. Im happy, even though they did just shaft strike skills on zerker when they removed blitz.

I´ll be running Ascendant again as leaguestart. As I have the past 4 leagues.

Either flamewood (Uber viable) or a fast mapper with viper strike.

Build diversity is not dead.

Idk we lost a lot of builds over last 2 leagues and haven't gained that many new ones. This league will be removing some favorites and make more builds less viable then viable. All in all not a great league for starters to have diversity. No more xp loss on bosses is sad and will more than likely hurt retention. Hopefully, I'm wrong and the economy isn't ruined the first week and by week 2 Hopefully it retains more than half the players.
