Is it 3 mercenary per character or per account?

It would be bad to have 3 high level merc already and not being able to recruit new ones for your new character.

Mercenaries need to be within 70% of level requirements of an item to equip it.


does this mean an items level requirement can be to low for a merc to equip it?

or is this more for level requirements that exceed theirs(eg an item requires lvl 84 but a lvl 81 merc can equip it)

this is extremely important to know for theory crafting merc equipment.

Yes, although all Runegrafts count as the same type of Mastery. They do not count as Life masteries.

If you put 6 runebind on your tree, it counts as 6x mastery allocation. But they are not life masteries, so you cannot use 1 life mastery (ex: 50+ maximum life) with 5 runebind. It wont count as 6 life masteries.


It doesn't count as 6x mastery for polymath, since they are the same type of mastery.

Can I immediately use a high level Mercenary I've previously recruited when levelling a new character?

No. If you are 20+ levels lower than a Mercenary, they will not follow you. You are not worth their time.


Big L, this was the one different way from other games you guys could of went about giving us a campaign skip and it would of just been simply more of a speed boost to blaze through the campaign on an alt. Should really rethink your stance when it comes to making alts, sure we can get leveling uniques and all that, what we currently can't do however is change from crappy skills we use to start with (Rolling Magma I'm looking at you). This would of been a nice way to just let our Merc just slay everything for us. Pretty pointless to make them account bound if we can't even function with them till endgame on our alts. Nobody is going to want to let go of one if they currently have 3 good ones.

you can only have 3 mercs right? so leveling an alt you either need to leave 1 slot open for lower lv mercs or just go without

mercs are the league mechanic and people are gonna be diss

also the ag thing is a giant joke at this point. years of people asking for the obvious QOL changes and you finally meet them halfway, while showing off the rest of that QOL on a merc and refusing to give it to AG

Are there going to be the "tier 4" Syndicate leader rewards after killing Catarina? The treasure room after the Catarina fight, is that still there or is it randomized/gone?
They're gone.


Expected this, but it makes the fact that your syndicate board doestn reset a bit obsolete, because the member ranks will reset when you run the safehouse - which you now will do always because there is no reason to keep a safehouse alive anymore.
