There is no reflect mechanic in poe 2 remove it from poe 1 as well
The problem with this mod isn't that it exists, it's that they haven't nerfed it to compensate for player power creep over the past ten plus years.
If it a, wasn't nearly as high of a percentage of damage reflected, and b, not added with each enemy you hit, it might be do-able with cautious play, or on weaker builds, without the need for much or any reflected damage reduction on you. Last edited by D623932883#0055 on Jul 11, 2025, 1:57:50 AM

How is this seriously an issue people are still having? Greater eater implicit on body armor + Yugul = reflect immune. EZ Uber Atziri farm, hit the mirror clone on purpose if you want.

reflect is fine, tho i wish there would be a way to get spell totems reflect immune

I'm usually on the "you gotta read your map mods, its totally in your control" bandwagon.......EXCEPT in the case of reflect (and ONLY reflect).
It is just a stupid mod that is unlike anything else that exists within the game. Furthermore, its so clearly archaic (it still has an actual range of values...like that would matter with modern numbers) that shows its a relic of a past game which no longer exists. Why is it unlike anything else? Map mods do two things (not counting t17s): they lower your stats, or they buff monsters. Reflect is the only mod in the entire pool that does neither of these two things. It punishes you for doing what you literally HAVE TO DO in order to even play the game: build damage. It's like if we had a mod that just said "You have no lifepool" and only CI characters would be able to survive. All other "punishment mods" are things that you opt into with a build, such as regen or auras or charges etc. But damage is not an "opt into it at your own will" kind of thing. Sure, its easy to overcome with rings, yugul, implicits.....but that isn't a reason it should still exist. I'm actually okay with it still existing on Atziri as her "unique" difficulty mod. But as a random map mod, it has no place. And frankly, GGG clearly agrees too. First they removed random reflect from monsters. Now in PoE 2, where damage numbers are MUCH lower, they did not include reflect at all. That isn't random; its a conscious decision.
